You made this topic twice, and keep it in the correct forum. Read the rules and try to not to make this mistake again.

So wait, pressing question. What did you say you used to make the game again?

GameMaker by Mark Overmars, one of the most popular freeware click and drag game designing tools on the entire internet. It's probably second only to flash for making completely original games(not mods).
I used to make games in GameMaker, it's what my Website is based around, my biggest game ever made and completed in GameMaker, Get A Life: A New Life. It's a life simulator game, mix of Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon, if you will. I had pretty bad graphics for it, at about half the standard resolution. xD
But, still, check out Golden Pun on my old website to see some subgames based around Golden Sun that I made, Garet's Game and Ivan's game, both made in GameMaker, located under Extras.
I don't have faith in many GameMaker projects, even the good ones disappear, no one wants to make the engines.
So, David the Fat, if you can make a decent Golden Sun engine, with overworld movement, interaction, and battle(heck, I don't even care if you get into overworld psynergy or menus), then I'll have some faith in this project, but right now, it sounds like a lot of "if"s.

RPG Maker might be a better choice if the game was to linger on IMO.

....not really. RPG maker is ever lower on the chain than Gamemaker. I fully support using Gamemaker instead of RPG maker.

So basically he's making a point and click interpretation of GS3. Well it sounds good, but I don't really have faith in a guy like this.
