1) Well, they have a lot of portables.
2) Nintendo DS still owns PSP in the gaming section.
But the PS2 wins in the console section. GameCube... meh. Wind Waker and SSBM pretty much saved the GameCube from destruction. Xbox was good but only had two memorable games: Fable and Halo 1 and 2.

The PS2 was my favourite out the bunch simply because it had the most memorable games:
FFX/X-2
Metal Gear Solid 2/3
Devil May Cry series...
Gran Turismo...
Kingdom Hearts...
Only to name a few...

Now, as far as handhelds go, then Nintendo takes the trophy. Golden Sun, anyone? :P

Or it could be that you want to give the PSP more time to potentially catch up to the DS :P (and yes, that is a smiley, folks).

Definitely. Nicely done, Eothain.

But yeah, GBA dominates the universe of handhelds, now it's up for grabs with DS and PSP...or, DS and DSLite in Japan. xD
But yeah, GBA and Xbox from me.

I suppose Sony doesn't want to drop the price of the PS2 in the same year that the PS3 is launching, and while its PSP handheld is still in its infancy, attempting to establish a dedicated worldwide fan base. Doesn't seem to be the case in Japan, of course...

Anyways, seeing how everyone's put their opinion up. Who will have the best new generation of gaming? I'm hoping Nintendo will get it's seat back as the best console. I'm not saying this because Nintendo's my prefered company, I'm saying this because Nintendo's actually the company who has the best interest in the gaming world. Think, who made the rumble pak first? Who made handheld gaming what it is? And I'm not saying that Sony and Microsoft should butt out of the gaming world, competition keeps prices low.
Although I see the PS3 still keeping it's seat as the best console.

I think there's no point in commenting why I voted for The Big N in the hand-held market.
Anyway, as for the future... I hope Nintendo becomes number 1 again, because I think they really deserve it. But it's pretty unlikely to happen(even though I'm positive the Rev will have more sales than the GC). :P

But, you're right, back on topic. Was anyone else really surprised that the GBA continued to do well almost 4 years after it's release. I would have thought that after three iterations and a stream of games running thin, that sales would drop somewhat.

Nintendo, as always, won the Handheld war. No contest. I don't think I need to explain myself on this one. As a devout Nintendo follower, though, I am concerned about where they stand in the console market. What worries me even more is the fact that they aren't doing anything about it.

For me, the PS2 wins my vote for offline games as it has delivered a variety of quality games over the years, but for online play the PS2's Online mode doesn't even compared to Xbox Live.
