    Many of you have heard me rant and question the U.S. and how they are capable of freaking out over anything and everything simple x.X;
Example: People saying Harry Potter is satanic. You only see that in the U.S. and nowhere else.

Here is yet one more event: http://www.qwantz.com/posterchild/

Street art. As simple as that. My classmates do it, their friends do it. Everyone does it. It is normal and it exists since the Roman times. Why would they deserve charges against doing this? Mexican muralists should have been tortured to death then.

Now it turns out that Mairo is a terrorist, and shiny coloured boxes with smiling mushrooms in them belong to terrorists as well. The only type of innuendo that this could give to anyone is like, MUSHROOMS = DRUGS YAY! Whatever. It's just art, dammit.

Back to the basics, anyone? Please?

Are we talking about Mario being a terrorist, or about the Mario Blocks themselves? :P

        Ah well.

I dunno Sheba, I'm a USA boy but I sometimes wonder about USA myself. Why do we do things like this? No clue. We have a lot of attention seekers in this country (Jack Thompson??) but it's people like us bloody Americans that give people like you (and the US itself) something to laugh at. XP

Yeah, I heard about this. I find it really sad how people just can't take a joke these days. I mean, come on. If someone put ? blocks everywhere do you really think it'd be an actual bomb threat or something? Any person whose been alive since 1986 SHOULD (most likely) know what they are, and that AFAIK no one would use them to conceal something dangerous.

So in closing I say... thank you terrorists for escalating today's level of paranoia to ridiculously high levels. No one can take a joke anymore.

I remember hearing about this awhile ago. I can't believe how they reacted to it.

I totaly agree with you Sheba. This is just ridiculous. I read about this a few days ago and thought that, whoever the blocks up, had a great idea. And then the US goverment(or whoever) comes and says that Mario is evil. Or even worse, that simple, shiny blocks with ? on them are evil. Insane!

It's like one of my, "Having a bad day? Blame video games!" rants.

It just seems to be the logic of the world today; if someone does something wrong, they're under the influence of video games. What a total load of *gets shot by mods*

Apparantley, I've been looking at too much Jack Thompson propaganda.

I think that the U.S. is the only country where a claim like this can become big news.

Well, from what I've seen right now the US probably has the most ever paranoid administration they've ever had. What's next? People who play GTA are terrorists?

It's so sad that such a small minority has ruined gamers' reputations. It's obvious enough that the whole ? block thing was a big joke, though really you can't be 100% positive that everyone will know what they are. I mean, maybe you'd be a bit suspicious, too, but I mean, come on! It's APRIL 1ST!

It's not April 1st, it's April 13th now and you posted that post on April 12th. So it can't be April 1st. :P Just kidding...

Yeah, you're right, if the bomb hasn't exploded yet, thirteen days after the blocks were put up, then there certainly aren't ANY bombs..... Right?

I blame the suicide Iraqi bombers for this. Since then, US hasn't taken ANY chances on ANYTHING. Apparently everything suspicious is a terrorist threat. Though I don't blame the President for the reaction, I blame the Mayor of the city or Governer of the state. And if the kids truly didn't mean for it to be a terrorist threat (which is obvious that they didn't), then why put them in jail? THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING.
