So, does anyone else here have braces or is getting them in the near future?

yeah, sometimes they get annoying. last night I was eating dinner and I kept poking my cheek from my braces; it was a pain in the rear-end.

I never had braces, luckily, I would hate having them.

I had them and they were horrible in that I couldn't chew gum.
I did it anyway but you know, it got all stuck between the brackets and it was tres messy :D

My brother has been wearing removable braces since he was about 7. He's 20 now. :D

At least the ones today are a lot smaller than the braces from about ten years ago.

But they're not as bad as I thought. But again I do hate the ulcers and how the left over wire cuts the inside of your cheek.

I didn't think so many of you would have braces.
And, Aqua, by removable braces, do you mean you use a retainer? x.x

You will join us....
He probably means a retainer, after I get the real stuff off, I have to put a retainer on for about six months just to keep them straight.

You know they really aren't that bad, and it's good that so many people have them now so if someone tries to bag someone know one really cares.

Er... they... may... be retainers. I guess they are, though I always thought they were called braces too. Just that they were removable. -_- Oh well, you live and learn.

By the way, the more you don't wear them, the more you'll have to CONTINUE to wear them...
Actually, if you don't wear them for long enough, your teeth will just go back to "normal". -_-

Yeah, I know. That's why I almost always wear them at night. The only times I don't is when I come back late from being out with friends. I'm usually very tired then and I can't bother getting them.
Anyway, a few years ago I didn't wear them all the time and the dentist was all like "You'll need real braces soon." so I started to wear them and now my teeth are much better. Yay!

I should have had them put in, like, 5 years ago, but the dentists that do the school rounds are ****ing idiots that don't have a clue what they're doing.

If you read my first post you'd know I got them awhile ago and now have them no longer. :)

Gah, I have to go get mine tightened on Monday which is pretty much just going back to the start as far as pain is concerned. Oh well, though, just something you've got to live with.
