Anyone have suggestions on how to get rid of spaiware on my computer? >_>

I've used Ad-aware and Spybot, they say they got rid of them and then there's always 4 or 5 more showing up. And there's this really ****ing annoying pop up that tells me I have 4/5 cases of spyware and adware ever 30 seconds, no exaggeration.

      That's one heck of a problem, dude! I have no idea what you could use except for a name-brand, high-velocity bullet of a spyware killer. Other than that.... I always just saved my stuff and reformatted my old computer. That's the only way I could ever get mine to work correctly again. Given it was 4 years old, but still.... It was a weak model, I think. :D;

Anyway, hopefully someone else can be more helpful than me, hehhehheh.

Hmmm. I've got Spybot and I found that it also leaves one or two as well.

EDIT: "Smithfraud C." won't be deleted by Spybot :D

Get zone alarm pro to block the incoming spyware AND get rid of ALL of it. It works great on my comp.

                  1. Get all updates for SB: S&D, Adaware
                  2. Disconnect from the internet
                  3. Restart computer in Safe Mode
                  4. Run SB: S&D as well as Adaware
                  5. Restart computer.
                  6. Goto 4 (x2)
                  7. By this point, you should be pretty clean. You may notice SB and Adaware can't remove a specific piece of malware. You will want to go find a specific removal tool from the internet.
                  8. Run that removal tool.
                  9. Restart in safe mode. Run SB and Adaware.

If that doesn't work, you have a much greater problem.

Have you ever tried using HiJackThis before? It's a last resort for when none of your antispy programs get rid of a certain piece of spyware.

I use Microsoft Antispyware and ever since I got it I've had no problems with any kind of spyware. I highly recommend it.

Reformate works..but you can lose data that way, I use SpySweepers, it's okay IMO.

Don't follow Catastrophe's advice. (Catastrophe= really old member that randomly appears whenever he feels like it and disappeared awhile ago.) Anyway, if he shows up, laugh at him about the time he got a computer and just started deleting random stuff hoping to conserve memory. Among the things he deleted was the system boot record. Lol.
Personally I've given up on controling spyware. I run spybot and it says "found: 576 problems" It runs for like and hour deleting them and says "137 problems could not be fixed, please run Spybot again to fix them." I threw in the towel when my usable memory went [i]down[i] after running spybot. I've resigned to allow my computer to degrade into a record-breaking spyware tank, but good luck with saving yours from the inevitable.

Norton Anti-Virus works great for getting rid of viruses and spyware.
