Does anyone know where I can find a free animator which works and doesn't leave an annoying label on the finished product?

I use imageready for mine, but you can use flash which is better.

Pinned in the Artwork forum: http://www.goldensun-syndicate.net/forum/i...?showtopic=3333

This is the one I originally used:

        http://www.freewarew...hive.cgi?ID=288.

Its a bit hard to use, but it works alright and doesn't leave a watermark. I downloaded it ages ago though, so I'm not sure if the download still works.

^ MGA works like a charm. It isn't as streamlined as ImageReady, but it gets the job done, keeping in mind that I try to do my sprites as smooth as possible before actually animating it.

And will this image show up normally on, for example, ImageShack?

Yes, it will. It may not seem like it because MGA refers to the final gif as a "Compuserve" in my case.

It's odd though, because usually when I try to use animators and then open the finished animation, it shows up as a static image.

It's probably the image itself that is a little wonky. To make things simple, start out by making each frame the same size. Makes it smoother for beginners.
