The worst death I've had recently was when I was playing Halo 2 at a friend's house. We were playing co-op, we both had Beam Swords. We were fighting a bunch of enemies when finally, there was one Elite left. The Elite went for cover behind a nearby obstacle.

Well, I didn't know exactly where my friend was, and he didn't exactly know where I was; but we both saw the Elite run away, so we went after him.

When I got close to the Elite, I sliced him, killing him instantly. BUT, my friend tried to slice him a fraction of a second after I did, so I took the hit instead, so I died instanly too! D:


What's the dumbest/most embarrasing/funniest death you've ever experienced in a video game?

Not sure what category this falls under, but here goes. In Halo two I was deuling a friend. This was the first time I had ever played Halo, so I was getting own3d. I was standing on a ledge and he was a ways below me. I tried to throw a plasma grenade at him and ended up sticking myself in the crotch with it. I swore and jumped off the edge. He shot me up a bit as i was falling, but I landed on top of him and the grenade killed us both. I was like "oh yeah, I totally planned that." My gaming skilz are so pathetic.

Ah, good ol' Battlefield deaths... Countles time I was alone, with no one to help me from my team, with a whole squad of enemies chasing me. The only way to run away from them a few times was to enter a plane and fly away. The only problem was, I never knew how to actually fly the retched thing. So I take off and after about 5 seconds hit the ground with an explosion, usually not quick enough to press the eject button.

I think the funniest death I've ever experienced was in the final level of Halo. My friend and I were playing on Legendary and he had the rocket launcher. Remember when you come out of the tunnels and into the main hallway? Right, well, I was standing behind him and he pulled out the rocket launcher. I got right on his rear end to provide covering fire. He stepped half a step forward, the doors opened, he pulled the trigger, and I hit the ground.

I was so close to his exhaust that the recoil of the rocket launcher smashed my MC in the face! I don't know if you even think it's possible, but that's what happened....=S

There's a platform with boxes up high, you need to go on this ramp that sends you flying up onto it. Well, if you've played the map, you'd know that you don't get on every time. It was one-on-one, me (Second best on Terrorists) vs the best guy on CT. I saw him camping on the platform, so, I went to the ramp, pulled out my knife, and got him in the head as he was looking at the ground underneath him. Terrorists won the round, but I died because I didn't actually make it onto the ledge, and fell to my death. ;-;

Maple Story, fightin zombie mushes. There's an evil eye behind me, i'm on low health, no pots. Killed the mush, so about to collect the stuff, jump over evil eye, on to ladder. Not high enough. Zombie mush jumps up, and knocks me into a pit of evil eyes.

Probably Halo, when I tried to( foolishly) fire a rocket from the base in Blood Gulch at a guy standing by the warp exit. I knew right away that it wouldn't hit him, so I charged through the warp, pulled out my shotgun and got blasted to smitherines by my own rocket, which arrived later than I did.

Almost anything that involves flying a plane or an analog stick. I suck at analog sticks. I was playing some game (some shooter, I forget. meht've been Nightfire), and, because I'm dyslexic with analog sticks, I nab a rocket launcher, attempt to turn around and shoot at some guy, but I ended up facing the wall. So, I was dead. Even when I'm not blowing myself, my gun is pointed up a lot of the time. Most of the time, actually.

Time splitters 3: Elimination. Mines are only weapons. I go to chuck a mine at an enemy, and for once, I hit him. But I dont know that he also chucked a mine at me, when I ran off. I'm hiding behind this box, waiting for everybodt to explode. I hear a Beepbeep, and explosion. I jump up and scream YEEEEEEEEENOOOOOOOOOO as I die, not the enemy, as i anticipated

Star wars galactic battlegrounds, Army gone to kill a strong enemy with allies. Allies decide to join that enemy, and squash my men. They die. Brilliant. Then my (former) allies think it's funny if they attack my base when i have no men there. Brilliant, thanks Genral Riekan.

Note to self: dont play on Hardest setting.

Let's face it; Halo has one of the best "Funny Moments" record ever. Whoever owns Halo and plays it on co-op or LIVE will have dozens of funny stories to tell about their gaming experiences. That's one of the major reasons which made Halo so good, because it gave you so many memorable moments.

It's always really frustrating (and funny) when, in Super Smash Brothers: Melee, your opponent is Kirby and he sucks you up, falls over and throws you out, and then Kirby flies gently to stage.

On halo 1 me and My bro thought we killed both hunters, but one was still alive. I tried to jump on the side of a tank while my Bro was driving it and he ALMOST ran me over, but I backed up.
I was all "That was close..." And then the ramaining hunter hit me in the back...:D

In Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, in the single-player campaign mode, if you fall off an endless cliff it's not a game-over, but rather you are restarted right where you were with a little less health.

So, in the multiplayer mode, my brother was owning me, and I was about to die. I had the bright idea of jumping off, thinking I would be reset somewhere else.

Oh boy, was I wrong.

In a Golden Eye game I was playing my friend and I was winning.....until I threw a gernade at him,but it was kinda thrown at an angle,so it hit the wall beside me and I blew myself up. ._.;

I find it quite funny in zelda when I get strangled by a redead, as when I die, it has it floating in mid air. I die on purpose just for that.

Majoras mask is always fun for dumb deaths. I was deku scrub link in the swamp, I got shot out of a flower straight into a dragonfly thing, and fell onto the water and sank. I didnt die, but it was pretty dumb.

One dumb death that occured with me was when I was playing Proud Mode on Kingdom Hearts 2, in which enemies do twice as much damage. During the battle against the Thresholder, my mom called me to ask me something. I muted the television, but I didn't pause the game, even though I thought I did. After I answered her question, I looked back and it showed that I died. D=

As for me, It was with Super Smash Bros. Melee. I was Ganon, and my friend was Roy. We both had around 200% damage on our last life, and we had eliminated all the other people. It was in Hyrule Temple, And I was hiding a little ways behind that stupid wall you can hit through (I'm not that stupid). It was obvious neither of us would do anything, so I started taunting him with the little "float and cackle" move. After about 2 minutes of "Mwahahaha! Mwahahaha! Mwhahaha! Mwahahaha!", he jumped over the wall in mid cackle and got me with a smash. I was most unhappy.

I had a pretty annoying death in Destroy All Humans. For some reason I thought hiding in a stream would be fine for me, when everyone else who went in there ended up dying. Bad idea.

Oh more liero deaths for me. I thought it would be funny to drop an A-bomb in a tiny enclosed space. It wasnt that funny when the com got away and I didn't.

I got a new one from Rainbow Six: Vegas. I didn't die, but someone did so I guess it still falls into this category. We were playing the Calypso Casino map online and this guy lobbed a C4 at me. While the C4 was in the air I shot it by pure luck and it exploded in my opponents face. Fun times!

I've had a lot of stupid deaths in Liero. Once, the guy I was trying to hit jumped as I was shooting spikeballs, and they bounced back and hit me.....and I died.

The Sims: Livin' Large & Unleashed

I'm not sure what happened, I think it must have been an expansion pack conflict, but one time my sim neglected to feed my cat, and by the looks of things it seemed to be dead. At that point the reaper arrived, but when he reached my cat he found it stuck in the sleeping animation, in its cat-bed.

After a while he actually started having a conversation with it, which was soon joined by my robotic maid. Eventually my sim went upstairs and to his horror found the dead cat. He walked up to it and went into his generic crying animation. Since the reaper couldn't leave until someone was dead, he decided to kill him instead. Which left me on ultra speed in an empty house with a dead cat and a robotic maid trying to talk to it.

Game: Halo 2 Vs Mode

Me and my freind were having a game against each other so he jumps into a Ghost and I jump on a melee him and get in the he does the same. We stood there for a while doing that until I accidentally shot the floor with my rocket launcher I always try to carry. KIlled him as well though which was funny.

Halo 2 - Gravemind - I did what I call an "Elite dodge". A Brute threw a plasma grenade at me, and I jumped right off the edge to avoid it.

TES IV: Oblivion - I had went to Frostcrag to create a destruction/ illusion spell that would do 25 damage for 5 seconds on the target and paralyze it for 7 seconds. I snuck up on a Minotaur Lord a bit later, and tried to do a sneak attack but noticed I wasn't in sneak mode. I just did a power attack so it started attacking me. I decided to use the new spell, but it just so happens I had accidently made it 25 damage for 5 seconds on Self and Paralyze for 7 second on self. So I layed there, burning while the thing finished off the rest of me.

In oblvion I once accidently ate a poisin apple in the Dark Brotherhood quest instead of dropping it for others to eat. So I died, then I found out the game had autosaved at the moment I ate the apple, and the save before that was 3 quest ealier. That sure was fustrating.

A funny death was when I was playing Final Fantasy XII a while ago. In the Dalmasca Estersand, there's a T-Rex called the Wild Saurion (?) that wanders around there. When I was still around level 3 with Vaan, I decided it would be fun to poke the T-Rex with my sword. 0 damage. I run away from it while it's chasing me. The T-Rex catches up to me in little time and deals 2160 damage and kills me. I was laughing. XD

In FFIII, there's these four statues you have to pass to get to the Crystal tower, and to pass them, you need all four fangs, of which I thought I had. So I walk past the first three, get to the last one, and the statue kills me by shooting lasers out of it's eyes. My save point was two bosses earlier. D:

I know it's not really a death, but in Madden 07, I was playing my friend and on the last play of the game I had the lead and gave up an interception that was returned for a touchdown. Me and my stupid desire to showboat, I've still never beaten that kid at Madden.

In Ninety-Nine Nights (ha betya never heard of that) I was at low HP (trying to look for a treasure chest potion) and accidentally hacked at the boss and got killed :/

It was at the last level - god it was annoying.

It's not really a death but it's close enough. I was playing Pokemon Ranger and trying to capture Rayquaza which the Go-Rock Squad had annoyed by their feeble attempts to capture him. So I was attempting to capture him with a psychic poke assist, so there i was madly drawing circles around him and i thought i had him so i took my stylus off the screen...when I had 1 circle left!!!!!!!!

In Valkyrie Profile 2, I was up against this boss that had the power of freezing you. So I was down to the last party memeber and I run out of items to unfreeze me. So I was like ok, and attack the boss. I was winning and the boss had about 10 hp left and it used that evil freezed attack and it freezed me! and it was a game over cause everyone in my party was frozed. D:

I had to restart. It was evil!

Hrm so I was in an SSBM Tourny and it was me Playing as MArth with 1 life left with 300% and Fox with one life at 560% (He just wouldn't die!)
So i shot the super scope full charge when fox was falling and he used his down + b Move and i got hit into a bomb-bomb (If thats how you spell it) and Boom got knoced into space..

also I was playing Metrod Prime ((again)) I had Meta Ridley at a slver of health and i had 300 energy left (3 tanks and 00) and well he got me with a cheap move dashing at me and had me stuck in a corner where i couldn't get out and i died.... when i reloaded it was before i aquried the last 4 Artifacts ((That sucked.))

Just recently I have had the "dumbest death"
In World of Warcraft, I'm a level 10 Undead Rogue. I recieved a quest to go to an area and kill some monsters. I went to the area and saw this forest. I thought thats where the monsters were so I went in. Within a few seconds a spider came up behind me and killed me in one hit.
I became a spirit and went near my body, respawned, and ran the heck out. When I thought I was safe in the camp, Spider followed me out and killed me again.

Haha, on Minish Cap, I was small next to some water and I had to go do something so I put the Gameboy face down on the sofa and went to do it. When I came back I was dead. Either the up button was held down so I was continually walking into the water and drowning or Enemies killed me.


The moral? Use the start button to pause the game.

In FFXII, I fought Exodus recklessly because I thought I could escape any time. Only when he became immune to physical damage did I realize "Holy crap, I'm screwed."

Also, any death of mine on a sidescroller is definitely up there.

This is actually a very common one but a very dumb death. I was running across the street in GTA and I hit a car, I repeat I (me) hit a car and died. I had low health, so it didn't take much but nothing looks more stupid than running into the side of a moving car, getting knocked down and then getting run over by the car behind. Tragedy.

GTA needs more zebra crossing.

In Metroid Prime, back before I had really gotten used to the controls, I was in a morph ball puzzle where you had to jump over these rocks, but with destroyable crates underneath you, and lava underneath them. I planted too many bombs, fell in the lava. I couldn't get out, because I tried going to human samus and jumping.

I've gotten back into San Andreas just recently. I was doing my first mission for The Truth, in which you have to steal a combine harvester from a nearby farm. I managed to drive it out into the woods while the farmers were chasing me in their trucks. I started to get tired of them shooting at me, so I stole one of the trucks with the farmer standing on the back and drove it off a cliff, after bailing out.

It landed on its wheels, so he was still shooting at me from the bottom of the cliff. And then some coygirl started running towards me, so I just stepped out of the way and watched as she fell off the cliff and directly onto the farmer, killing them both. I was laughing so hard.

And then I noticed the harvester zooming down the hill towards me.

In Gears of War, I was playing on a team of three against three other guys (LAN party), and I was sneaking around the side of a warehouse to flank the sniper on the other team. I got there, he saw me, he pulled out his shotgun, I died before I could even rev up my saw.
