I want to go to New York, as I've never been there and it sounds like a good place to go.
I also want an Indiana Jones hat. :P
I can't think of many more for the moment but I'm sure you've got some better ones.

Take it from a guy who lives in New York; it's really not that great, or rather, it's an interesting place to be... but many people exaggerate how it is here.
Personally, I would like to attend a World Cup before I die.

Sky diving on a bodyboard.

Well, I mean, if you want more specific details on what it's like here (and suggestions on where to go and what to see in NY if you ever do come visit), I'd be glad to chat with you about it.

Throw eggs at the projecter in a movie theater.
Throw a paint balloon at my house.
Yeah. I'm weird like that.

Getting back to the topic... I'd like to see a match being played at the new Wembley Stadium. However, with the delays that they're getting, I'll probably will be dead before it's ready.

It's not all that great. London owns it a 1,000 times over. If you've been to London there isn't a lot of point to going to NY, because pretty much anything GOOD about NY has been in London.

Score. :)
The Nintendo World Store is only a half hour commute from my home (by subway), and it's even relatively en route to my school (though my school, Stuyvesant, is another quarter hour travel time). I've been there a number of times with my friends.
It's amazing. Really high-tech, really polished. The only downside to it is perhaps that it is a little small, but even so, there's so much to do or look at. On the first floor, there are DS stations arranged in a group with little seats, so you can demo the latest games and battle against one another. Upstairs is all the console stuff, with multiple GameCube systems set-up on plasma widescreen televisions.
And so much more to it. I really recommend going there.
And, on a final random note, guess who went to the Nintendo World Store opening? And guess who got photographed by IGN?
:P

-Leave some dwarf roses on my family's grave.

Besides going to Europe and tour the world, I want to learn Martial arts, and be so good at it, I can run on walls, and jump off of peoples oncoming fists to kick them in the head, making them do a backflip and hit the wall behind them. :P That would be so friggin' awesome!....But then I would need an enemy to fight....

Another person who'd like to visit New York. :P
Here's my list:
Most Important:
- Find out something I really want to do, and dedicate my life to it
- Start a family, and support them
- Live happily, and die without regrets
- Hope and pray for a world without violence, and that the world realizes the truth of the Middle East conflict (the Palestinians are the ones being oppressed, Israel isn't always the victim... etc.)
Other:
- Travel the world; Europe, especially, and the Mediterranean/Middle East
- Attend a World Cup tournament

*Is a martial artist*
Most of my preferences are tied in with Eug's topic. Based on GL's little scale, I would...
Most Important
Write a few books
Travel around the world
Repay my debts
Study Theology
Get married and have a family.
Open a TaeKwonDo Dojang
Other
Be a Martial Arts Star (humourous, though, like Jackie Chan =D)
Shake hands with Shigeru Miyamoto (If he's still around)
Attend E3 (however small it may be)
Go on a Nintendo World Store shopping spree
Volunteer work at/Attend the Vancouver 2010 Olympics

Um... I haven't thought of much about my future, so this is what I have for now.
.Travel around the world (bebefore more countries are destroyed)
.Find the right person for me and have a family
.Start a company of some sort
.Attending the 2008 and 2010 Olympics as volunteer (MD reminded me of this)
.Draw a short booklet of comic and get it published (?)
.Design stuff...

It is optimistic, Somia. But I feel it is an obligation that we all have, and I really commend you for wishing for it too.
It may just be a hope, but until I die, I will keep praying and hoping for peace. That's a goal worth dying on, in my opinion.

Well I'm glad you would do something like that. It's a shame that people start conflicts but maybe one day they'll realise that everyone loses in the end.

That sounds so noble. I thinks the millions of soilders who are/were fighting would be happy to hear that. It just might be possible...when everyone realizes what they've done.

Just consider this; do you see this entire topic? We're all discussing things that we would like to do before we die. But soldiers who fight... they don't have that. All their hopes and dreams become irrelevant and obsolete...

For my thingstodolist, I'd want to know when I'm going to die, just to seize the last couple of days I have. Probably sounds pretty ego, but don't you all want to die with a smile on your face.

I respect the people for fight for their country as well. Patriotic though I may be, I could never do something as brave as that.
Getting back on topic though I would definitly not want to know when I die. Could you imagine if you did know? You'd be spending ages worrying and when it came to that final day, you'd know that something bad is going to happen to you. I guess it would allow you to try things out without fear of dying but I'd be way too worried to do that.
The worrying thing is that our last day could be any day really... :P

I too wish that there would be at least less fighting, but that can't happen if terrorists are still out there. I'd join the military only if I could drive the best tank available, despite the cramped quarters and uncomfortable living.
As for the knowing when you die thing, no way. I'd much rather live without knowing I was going to die in a few days.

Kids? I'd say one or two on my part. I'd rather keep things simple so that I can focus my time and energy on raising them, providing for them and the Mrs., etc.
Ah yeah, and it just came into my mind while I reviewed my post where my list was. If not visit the Olympics, then I'd love to compete (Tae Kwon Do or Track, I'm good at either =D)

And for the record, there's no such thing as global warming. Every few years, the earths climate changes a bit due to different angles it tilts at. This is scientifically proven, but most scientists prefer to believe that green house gasses are the cause of it, and that it will lead to Global Warming. To sum it up, a few years ago, scientists thought we were going to freeze to death. A few years before that, they thought the earth was going to burn up. A few years before that, they thought we were going to freeze over. A few years before that, they thought we were going to melt. You get the picture. You can't punch holes through my facts with any real eveidence, but I'd really like to see you try.
#54
Posted 05 August 2006 - 10:43 PM
However, you can't deny that the greenhouse effect is at least accelerating and enhancing the natural changes to the Earth's climate.
Anyway, when I was younger, I hoped to find the cure for a widespread disease or disorder, something like AIDS, Parkinson's, Alzeihmer's (sp?), etc. I don't really know if I'm still up for that (I'm more realistic now), but hey, anything's possible.
