Camelot's New Game

However, I must warn people not to jump to conclusions. There has been no official word from Nintendo that Camelot is no longer a second-party developer, and Camelot itself has not yet released any statement about its future relationship with Nintendo. Despite the title of IGN's article, nothing is confirmed, and the Japanese press is still confused and is trying to ascertain what Camelot's current plans are for future games.
Camelot has gone on record in the past, saying that they would be creating an RPG on Nintendo's next console (the Wii), and have not yet said anything to hint that that project may have been cancelled. Although Camelot is a small studio, it appears the golf game could have reused alot of assets from the Gamecube version of Mario Golf, so it is conceivable that half (or more) of the Camelot team are working on another project simultaneously.
To summarize what I'm trying to say: don't jump to conclusions until Camelot themselves say that there won't be any other games from them.
UPDATE: After doing some more research, I have found that the source of the rumor that Camelot and Nintendo have split was a mistranslation of a German website that first reported about the new game. Camelot has said that they have delayed/postponed development of a game for a Nintendo system for now while they focus on this golf game, but that they have not ruled out returning to a Nintendo project in the future. So that means more waiting for us...

Guess it's not actually coming out this year.

And yes, unless Camelot dramatically surprises us, any release for a Nintendo platform would certainly not come this year.

At least it looks like they're still working together.

There is also the Leipzig Game Convention later this August. IGN claims that Nintendo will reveal five new, never before seen Wii titles to the public.
