I noticed there was not a topic on this author at the moment so let me clue you in. This is the section to talk about Dan Brown and his books

    -The Da Vinci Code
    -Point Deception
    -Angels And Demons
    -Digital Fortress

I own the upper three but they are all good books so if you havent heard about them give it a try, they're really good.

Ever hear of the book entitled "White Dragon"? It's a third installment to something ... but:

      1. I forgot the author's name.
      2. I forgot what the first or second book was called.

      Sorry.

And no, I never read nor heard of those books.

I haven't read or hear of any of them. I just resently bought "I, Robot" by Isaac Asimov, so I don't think I will be getting to another book this week.

I've tried to read a whole Harry Potter book, but ... eh, I was almost done with the 2nd when I lost it. Sucks to be me.

Mystic Warrior, would you mind moving this topic to the new section for books?

I've read "Deception Point", "Digital Fortress", "Angels & Demons". (not The Da Vinci Code, yet).

Unfortunately, as much as I enjoy Dan Brown's style, it becomes remarkably dull because of the extent it's used, and retains the same formula... "Deception Point" had what I considered a great plot twist in the end, but I half figured it out for "Digital Fortress", and was completely correct about it for "Angels & Demons" (though, the latter was definitely well-done... including the ending, which was even more spectacular than I could have imagined).

I think that these "historical conspiracy" novels are overdone. After about 2, they get predictable and boring. Dan Brown may write them well, but they can't really hold my interest.

I love Dan Brown books, but like you guys pointed out, after you read two of his books the overall plot is very predictable. My friends are huge Dan Brown fans, but after reading Angels and Demons and The Da Vinci Code, they were like "
                                    Spoiler
" in Deception Point right?" to someone who read the book. I haven't read Deception Point yet; they are correct, right?

Angels and Demons is probably my favourite book to date though. It was my first Dan Brown book, and wow, was it remarkable! I couldn't put down the book. I was able to read on my bed, something only Harry Potter and John Grisham were capable of doing.
