Sorry, but I'm not sure which level of Crossbone Isle you are referring to...
and to return to Suhalla Desert (after you defeat Deadbeard, I suppose), you simply retreat and go to that Pink Tornado... Do not use douse, and it should return you...

- Stand on the top right corner of the first ledge and use catch to get the
key above you.
- Jump to the right and get key 2 in the same way. Use grab while standing on
the platform east of the key.
- Get key 3 from the platform south of it, and key 4 from the platform north
of it.
- Now continue to the ledge on the north side of the room, and open the blue
doors here for chests containing 333 Coins, a Fairy Ring, a Cookie and a
Smoke Bomb.
- Jump on the platform south of the blue door on the right. It’s part of a
circle of platforms, with a slightly different color.
- Use Reveal here, and grab the red key in the center.
- Get to the left side of the room, and go through the red door. *

I think that is where I got stuck as well. I never finneshed cross-bone isle.

find a good ledge that is right across from the one with the key, and use catch.

I found Deadman(<_<) just a couple days ago, he took me abit, and Garet was cursed so I couldn't use Flash right, but no one died.... :) Just don't equip. anything you find down there!

You can equipt stuff as long as you have the Cleric's Ring on. And by the way, he's Deadbeard, not Deadman.
I thought that it was puzzle 2... Oh well. Not that it matters much which puzzle it is as long as you get past it.

Crossbone Island was a fun dungeon with a half challenging boss at the end, as for the puzzle i can't remembert as i haven't played number 1 for ages
