I have a slight problem with copying and pasting into MS Paint. If there's a transparent image, the BG appears black. That poses a problem to sprites (RO and FE9) that have solid black in them, as when it becomes transparent, outlines get messed up and solid black (#000000) parts disappear. I could have sworn it was white before.

To test, Copy this image into MS Paint. Make the image opaque and tell me the background colour.

Is it something to do with my browser, Paint, or anything that makes it black?

When I saw the image, before copying and pasting it, it had a light blue backround. It still did after I pasted it.

Nothing happened for me, so I can't really help. Sorry.

Just Paint. It's all I need. I don't need anything fancy. Fade effects and all that I can do by hand. I get more quality from that.

Toasty, what browser are you using?

Go to Images and click on Attributes, or Ctrl+E. There you can change the background colour.

              Ta-dah.

I'm using IE 6. I want to upgrade to something better though.

I too am using IE6, but it shows up grey for me. I'll bet you can change the transparency colour in IE as well.

And change the whole image file black and white? That's no good. =P

I'm using Firefox. I'll look for a way to cahnge it there. I just need a way to change it, since white is a lot easier to work with. There aren't many sprites who use solid white. Black just keeps getting in he way.

I'll get Opera later on, see if it helps.

IE6 doesn't support alpha transparency so you will always get that blue/greyish tint...

I see, now is there a way to change the default transparent background colour of Firefox?
