Well, $ony screwed up badly and now Europe and Australia (and other PAL regions) won't be seeing the PS3 until March 2007. This probably doesn't affect most of the members here though, since most are american and very few were purchasing one anyway. Those of you who hate $sony can still be happy that Nintendo now have no xmas competition in these regions, assuming they get their act together and actually release the console, even an announcement regarding a release date would be a huge step forward...

Oh, if it wasn't obvious, everywhere else in the world still gets their 2006 release.

        Who cares? Boring system.
        I've said it before.
The Xbox 360 and the PS3.. They're just upgrades of their old systems.
        The Wii.
The Wii is a whole new thing. It's fresh, it's new and it's exciting. It's the winner this time round.

That's just one aspect of the Wii. There are plenty of other specs for the other consoles which you should consider before you go around making a statement like that.

            Here's a source

So pretty much everywhere but North America, Asia, and South america get a delayed launch? Funky...

Also, Sony has decided to make gamers kill each other for their products, and are now announcing that North America will get a a whopping 400,000 units, while Japan will get the amazing number of 100,000 units . Real smart, Sony. Real smart.

Well that's a right kick in the knickers.
Still there are some good things. Now we can save some money up to buy the system! It is annoying for anyone who wanted one for Christmas but I guess that delays are just a part of life, especially when it comes to games.

Hehe... I can say that this news is good news. For Nintendo. But it's also bad news. For Sony. Which is good.
I'm very glad this is happening.
                I agree whole-heartedly, 100 percently with sibsag.

Its hard to imagine how Sony you have messed up the PS3 launch any worse. The 360 had 1.5 million units, and it sold out. The PS3 has 500,000. Across two countries. And PAL countries got their release delayed. Well, Microsoft and Nintedo should make a nice profit...

Sony's really taking a dive this round...I'm sure they'll still sell like mad, but in reality? Ehhh...

I was expecting this. Apparently, the issue stems from a problem developing the Blu-Ray technology in the PS3.

I also wouldn't be surprised if it was because of their "cell proscessors" as well. I was going to make this topic, but you beat me to it Neon. TVs. They should stick to TVs in my opinion. It's not like their short on money right now. If they were short on money, then it wouldnt neccissarily be a good thing to release the console at a later date, especially leaving the christmas spree to a rival company.

Yes, they should stick to TV's, but DVD players as well. We have a 5 disc, and it works great. But they seriously should stick to just that. No more laptops or anything either. *coughflamingbatteriescough*

Yeah, it looks like if their dominance is being questioned now, but I'll just wait and see...
