*waves* Hi everyone ^^ Finally decided to join after lurking around these forums for a bit. o.o;

A bit about me :3

I love the Golden Sun series (then again, I suppose most people who post here do o.o), and I also am a big Tales of, Baten Kaitos and SSBM fan :3

I heard about Golden Sun World only recently, and I hope it gets released (i'm aware of the delay), as it looks quite good ^^

I'm currently studying a Diploma of Games Design, and i've decided to make my own fan-based Golden Sun game, called "Adept Arena", which is based on the Golden Sun battling system. Unlike WotA, my game is going to be fully 3D, with models and environments created from scratch. I'm almost finished coding up a text based protoype which is due for release on Saturday 28th ^^ - if anyone is interested, please let me know ^^

Anyways, I hope to have an enjoyable stay here at Golden Sun syndicate, and I hope to make some new friends! ^^

Welcome, have fun!

Most people like golden sun here, and a lot like SSBM.
Just don't mingle with the wrong crowd and you'll be okay.

Interests:Drums, Guitar Hero, pretending to play guitar, getting awesome at the one song I know how to play on bass, school(yeah, I'm such a loser) music, mohney, etc. I suppose I'll give you an abbreviated list of bands that I like: Relient K Switchfoot Guster Angels and Airwaves Arcade Fire Porcupine Tree Weezer Mae It's sorta a weird mix of mainstream and not so mainstream. I like a lot of single songs too... Bands I need to look at: Plastic Constellations Cauterize Patent Pending And a bunch of local bands that you'll probably never hear of. Pandora rocks. I'm running out of things to say here. Perhaps I like duct tape? Yeah. This likely won't be touched for another year when my tastes have completely changed.

Yup.. I tend to get a lot of people thinking i'm a girl.. so decided to show my gender to avoid confusion :P

Anyways, you can check out my game at z6.invisionfree.com/adept_battle_arena. You'll have to sign up to view the forums. And I know the skin is bad :X It's just temporary until I can get a better one ^^;

Are you trying to give me a bad name? I stopped spamming uncontrollably months ago FYI, and am currently working on a respecatble project for the forums. I'd hardly consider myself in "The wrong crowd". Now Split on the other hand.......j/k :)

Just a little note - Adept Arena will be delayed for another day (sorry for the inconvience! >_<) - I have been ironing out the bugs to make it suitable for release.

You should consider contacting Max (the administrator of these forums). I'm sure Max would be willing to host your game, or provide you with more resources, or something to that effect.

He can't even host his own game right now, last time I checked we had problems finding a reliable server for GSW. What kind of game is this, Formina?

My game will be a turn based, strategy game, inspired from Golden Sun's linked battle system, with a ranking system, and a random item generator.

I developed a text based prototype (Adept Arena v0.5), which you may all download from this link:

Please realise that it is an alpha version, and there are a few noticeable bugs still in there. However, the core of the battle system works and should give you a bit of insight unto how the game will play.

It's 43 megabytes, as it contains a few sound effects and music.

The basic Idea is great, but I hope you'l have battle scenes like GS has, that'd help. It's good for an Alpha veersion though. Keep up the good work. :D

Well, I tried out the interface one, and it was pretty neat, very Golden Sunny. I assume I wasn't supposed to do anything because most of the buttons didn't work, but its a good start.

Yup - It's only a very rough prototype, so many of the buttons don't work.

Also, where is the links directory? Or is it okay if I create a new thread for it in the "other games" discussion? o.o
