I bought the movie Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead's man cheat yesterday and watched it.
It really disappointed me. It wasn't better the first one, you know.
This might spoil the movie, so if you wish to watch the film, please do not read what is below

At the begging of the film, Will (Turner) and Elizabeth (Swann) are going to be marryed, then

    Sorry school time

I liked the first one more. The ending of two left a really bitter aftertaste.

It was more frantic but sections like the Cannibal island were just pointless. Some of the humour was good but it wasn't as good as the first movie. At the start of the year I'd thought this would be the best film I'd see all year. I'll admit that I didn't know about Casino Royale then. :D

This was just a mediocre movie. Some of it was funny, but most of it felt forced, and Johnny Depp used the same tired antics over and over...It wasn't worth the money, IMO.

                *SPOILERS*

I came out of the theater pissed, the first 30 minutes or so on the cannible island had absolutly nothing to do with the story, the main character that everyone likes dies, and theres a awful ending...poo.

                *SPOILERS END*

I feel old and cranky today, and I think I found a way to take it out!

Seriously, if it's 'school time' and you didn't have enough time to finish the post, why did you spend so much time formatting the size and font! Time to learn that content is better than pretty posts.

As for the movie, I liked it while I watched it, but it didn't really leave an impression like a good movie should. That's all I have to say on the subject, since I already made a topic on this movie.

It didn't have a lasting effect and the comedy felt so forced at times. I mean was there really any point for them to fight in a waterwheel?

That's what I mean. It's really entertaining when you watch it, but when you think back on it, you start wondering "What's the point?"

They do build it up pretty well for a sequel though. It's just a shame that it'll probably be rubbish.

I prefered the 1st one honestly, but the last hr. or so in the 2nd movie was incredible.

Can't wait for At Worlds End.

Is that what the title of the next film is? I guess it would make sense as they keep referring to the world's end in the second film. I just hope it's better.

The ending for the second one was only good I reckon. Good in that it makes promise of a sequel.

There were alot of funy bits in the movie itself, but lots of crap as well. Like corney references to the first one: "Why is the rum always gone?"etc. Funny, but not "ha ha" funny.

Then there were bits like when Jack blasted that bird on top of his coffin, confused his entire crew with the lock/ key finding thing, and thought that elizebeth was a queer when she dressed up as a bloke:

"Im looking for the man I love"
"Sorry mate, but Im married to the sea"

THOSE bits were funny as hell.

First one is better because Sparrow is better (and the movie as a whole is more funny). The second one wins out on plot and mood imo. The beginning of the second movie is awesome, the ending, however, sucks quite badly.

I think it suffers from Matrix Reloaded syndrome xP

I agree. The first one is a lot better than the second one. I just think how bad will the next pirates of the carribean will be.
