I got RPG Maker XP and Image Ready 3 but I do not know how to use them! Please Help!
Please try to answer these questions towards the programs:

    RPG MAKER XP

    1. - How can do we make Mutiplayer online games or LAN games?
    2. - Can we Image Ready 3 to do animations in the RPG Maker?
    3. - Know any good walkthroghs or guides for RPG Maker XP?
    4. - Do you know any good sites for guides to learn how to learn to do MMORPG (I think that's how it's called)

    IMAGE READY 3

    5. - Can we do good animations on Image Ready 3?
    6. - How do we do the animations on Image Ready 3?
    7. - Know a good site for making the animaion?
    8. - And how do you put the animations from Image Ready 3 to RPG Maker Xp?

    Future Thank you!

      1. You can't using RPG Maker XP.
      2. Image needs to be seperate.
      3. PM me
      4. If you are planning on making one, then you must understand it isn't as simple as RPG Maker.

RPG Maker XP is not the best game maker in the series nor is it the best game maker in general, to make a game that is a lot more flexible and fitting to your needs, learn a programming language and use that to develop a game.

I do not know any programming languages at the moment, though. If you still want to go teh RPG Maker way, use 2003. It's a lot simpler and more effective, though RPG Maker XP can use a scripting code to make things way more flexible.

I'm learning C++ at the moment. HTML just wasn't enough for me. :D

But seriously, learning C++ is a good first step towards makeing a game, but it takes a looooong time to learn. If you find learning HTML or other web based languages hard, go with RPG maker. If not, and you have time to waste, pickup "C++ for the absolute beginner" I don't know the author off the top of my head, but it's what I'm useing at the moment, and it works.

I use RPG Maker as a quick way to realize my ideas before taking them on the road.

Toasty, what have you accomplished with C++ as of now?

I've just barely started, but it's easy to tell it'll take me a while to understand it as well as I understand HTML. As of now, I can open a window that will ask for your name, then say "Hello <insert name here>! Lovely day today, isn't it?" And that's about it. For now at least. When I'm finished with the website, and learning C++, I intend to make a game with my newly acquired skills. =D

I am working on an RPG game myself using RPG Maker, but again, it's just a visual representation of my ideas and not the real deal. I plan to go above and beyond and add voice-acted "cinematics" and special systems like a realistic world map and a library system.

Well, see, the built in battle system is extremely limited. You have to code your own from scratch if you want it to be Golden Sun-like. I'd reccomend you analyze the way the GS Battle System works very in-depthly and then work with what you have to create something as similar, if not identical.

There's a flash animation on the main GSS site that has a demo of how the camera works in battle if you need it.
