I was playing Minish Cap again today, getting the figurines and on the Ice Wizzrobe description it says
' They're weak against fire, so hit them with your Fire Rod!'
This is odd, as there isnt a fire rod in the game. Theres a flame lantern but no rod.

Noticed any other mistakes in other games?

The translations in Harvest Moon games are hilariously bad sometimes. That, and you can get people to talk in different languages if you do it right.

I like how the Harry Potter games have events that never happened in the books.

In FFX there's the one kid who says 'I wanna be a blitzball when I grow up!'
I also noticed that in the original Harry Potter game for PS1 they have the sounds of people cheering in the great hall, when the screen shows it to be empty.
Also the original Medal of Honour game had Germans who not only spoke English, but spoke it with a very strong English accent.

In TimeSplitters 3, why do the Beserker splitters shoot lightning that locks on to you? Shooting lightning is understandable, but locking on? How does it manage this?

Same game, i've noticed that you can reload 2 Machine guns at the same time in 2 seconds flat by lowering and raising them.

Let's not forget Aerith's "This guy are sick."

Ooh, and in FFIV, one of the white mages (At least I think so) reply to Cecil's arrival, "Ah! Cecil! I have heard of your feat!"

I'm assuming you meant feet, since that's not a mistake at all.

In golden sun the lost age, Felix broke his muteness by saying "why?".

Now, we all know Felix can be rebellous, but he'd never rebel at his main-character muteness. In the japanese version, he said "???" not "why?"

I don't think he does. He mean's feat as in:
                      1. a noteworthy or extraordinary act or achievement, usually displaying boldness, skill, etc.: Arranging the treaty was a diplomatic feat.
                      2. Obsolete. a specialized skill; profession.
There's so many mistakes in games but I think the most obvious one must be 'All your base..'

pwned was a mistake in World Of Warcraft in the programming, instead of owned. I think. Now everybody uses it.

What about the all-famous "You got an Herb"? I think we all know where that's from.
I hate why in every single game parts of characters bodies enter floors and walls. I just hate that!

                                      More on Final Fantasy VII...

During the first boss battle, a "hint" was translated incorrectly as "Attack when the tail is up!" instead of "Don't attack when the tail is up!".
Ooooh, THAT's why I got wiped out on the first boss of the goshdarn game. Dodongo doesn't dislike smoke. My ass.

"Listen to me! Just now, some guy in a black cloak goes walked east towards that grassy field."
Oh, my God! Did you send somebody to goes follow him?!

                                      "You are a Turks."
                                      I am a what?

                                      "Knowlespole"
It's North Pole, for Cloud's sake!

My ass.

I never realised that. Good thing the robot is so easy to beat. :)

"Thank you much." says every shops person in Golden Sun. That's the only game error I've ever come across.

Apparently, Americans pronounce Herb with a silent H. They're so silly, what with their dates and everything.

That is actually proper English, but you don't hear it very often.

True. Its just "Thank you very much" without the 'very'.

I've not come across a lot of mistakes, although I once played some 'Yugioh' game on a DS that had the translation: "I will stop going out because slowness today", which was meant to mean "I won't go out now because it's too late" (I think) hmmm...

Being able to catch Missingno. in the first Pokemon games was also a game mistake, one that messed with your entire file if you actually caught it.

Yeah, but if you didnt, you could mess with the game and get like infinite good items.

Link is supposed to be independent, completing most tasks alone, therefore having no one to speak for him.

The game's plot usually demands Link to interact, but conflicts with the what Link is meant to portray. So the designers of the game want there to be some way for the plot to be as dynamic as it should without Link having to say anything. This led to parts where it is implied that Link said something, though he actually didn't. So really, they can't help it.

I know all of that, and I'm not so bothered by Link not being able to talk, but by characters from other games, such as both of the main characters from Golden Sun. Still, maybe it is time they changed that in Zelda, it's just becoming a bit old and stupid.

I'm sure on the map screen at the beginning of a chapter I've seen the name Biran appear, rather than Bern. I'll have to play it again and see.

Happens every time I turn the game on so meh.
