Game Mistakes We've all seen them

' They're weak against fire, so hit them with your Fire Rod!'
This is odd, as there isnt a fire rod in the game. Theres a flame lantern but no rod.
Noticed any other mistakes in other games?

I also noticed that in the original Harry Potter game for PS1 they have the sounds of people cheering in the great hall, when the screen shows it to be empty.
Also the original Medal of Honour game had Germans who not only spoke English, but spoke it with a very strong English accent.

Same game, i've noticed that you can reload 2 Machine guns at the same time in 2 seconds flat by lowering and raising them.

Now, we all know Felix can be rebellous, but he'd never rebel at his main-character muteness. In the japanese version, he said "???" not "why?"

I don't think he does. He mean's feat as in:
1. a noteworthy or extraordinary act or achievement, usually displaying boldness, skill, etc.: Arranging the treaty was a diplomatic feat.
2. Obsolete. a specialized skill; profession.
There's so many mistakes in games but I think the most obvious one must be 'All your base..'

I hate why in every single game parts of characters bodies enter floors and walls. I just hate that!

During the first boss battle, a "hint" was translated incorrectly as "Attack when the tail is up!" instead of "Don't attack when the tail is up!".
Ooooh, THAT's why I got wiped out on the first boss of the goshdarn game. Dodongo doesn't dislike smoke. My ass.
"Listen to me! Just now, some guy in a black cloak goes walked east towards that grassy field."
Oh, my God! Did you send somebody to goes follow him?!
"You are a Turks."
I am a what?
"Knowlespole"
It's North Pole, for Cloud's sake!

I never realised that. Good thing the robot is so easy to beat. :)

True. Its just "Thank you very much" without the 'very'.
I've not come across a lot of mistakes, although I once played some 'Yugioh' game on a DS that had the translation: "I will stop going out because slowness today", which was meant to mean "I won't go out now because it's too late" (I think) hmmm...

The game's plot usually demands Link to interact, but conflicts with the what Link is meant to portray. So the designers of the game want there to be some way for the plot to be as dynamic as it should without Link having to say anything. This led to parts where it is implied that Link said something, though he actually didn't. So really, they can't help it.

May be realistic, but I can imagine it being **** annoying as well.

I know all of that, and I'm not so bothered by Link not being able to talk, but by characters from other games, such as both of the main characters from Golden Sun. Still, maybe it is time they changed that in Zelda, it's just becoming a bit old and stupid.

It does looks slightly out of touch now to have no real voices at all. Then again I guess that could be a unique point for the series.

I'm sure on the map screen at the beginning of a chapter I've seen the name Biran appear, rather than Bern. I'll have to play it again and see.
EDIT: Ok my description was wrong. Bascially the map says Biran on it but the accompanying text says Bern whenever they talk about the country.

It is odd that these character's live in worlds inhaabited by dragons, fight with swords and magic and have numbers rising out of their head when they get hurt, yet the first thing we point out as unrealistic is their hairstyle. <_<
