A couple of days ago I bought Timesplitters 2 to see if it really is as good as people said it was. It's a fun shooter, if a bit short and simple compared to current shooters. It really reminded me of Goldeneye in the way it's set out. I'll probably get Future Perfect later on.
Has anyone else played any of the games before or am I alone with this? It's definitely worth a look if you haven't.

They have it at my video store. It looks interesting, but I always ended up renting something else. Is it worth the $7?

Which of the games is it? I'm not sure about the original but I'd get 2 or 3.

I'm pretty sure it was 2. I think there was a screen of a guy fighting atop a train on the back.

I'd get 2 but it does have a slightly dated feel to it. The missions that you do won't last for ages. Probably better off renting it and then deciding.

                Aww, poor thing.

I remember playing a TimeSplitters game a few years back on my friends PS2. It had a map creator thingy for multiplayer, but I can't remember much more about it...

Me111, it reminds you of Goldeneye because many people from Rare were part of the team who made TimeSplitters.

Yeah, they both have the same-ish heath bars. And other stuff of course

I <3 future perfect. My favourite shooter to date, Multiplayer keeps you entertained for hours on end.

Ah I never knew that, though I doubted it was pure coincidence that the games were so similar.
@Caael: I've played a demo of Future Perfect and it was pretty good. Worth buying do you think?

Future Perfect really was the best FPS Ive ever played. After playing it, I couldnt play any other game.

It was SO funny, as well as awesome and serious~

Yes. It was, and still is my favourite GC game.

To me, it's just like every other arcade shooting game on the market. Except you can't jump, which is the only difference.

So? One little feature isnt enough so stop you buying the game. And in my , personal opinion, it is one of the best multiplayer games ever.

The multiplayer is worse than the single player. I'd take Halo 2 over Timesplitters ten times out of ten.

Quake 3 Arena? Half-Life? Aliens VS Predator 2? Battlefield? Not all of them are made for multiplayer, but I've had a lot of fun playing them with my friends.

I must admit, Halo multiplayer is very good, especially Co-op. I just prefer TS though, its more lighthearted and more my style of game. If you want a game that you will play a lot with friends/ family, go for TS as multiplayer IMO is hugely entertaining.

I played the 2nd one and owned the 3rd one. Really good games. Fun and easy to get into. Lot of multiplayer action for a console FPS.

Timesplitters 2 was definately one of my fav GCN games. I never played the third one, apparently it wasn't that fantastic and not much of an improvement over TS2. That definately wouldn't stop it from being great though .
