What's the flukiest thing you've managed? I remember when I was on holiday and a gust of wind blew my dad's hat off. I managed to catch before it ended up landing in the hotel pool. I got a round of applause from the people there. :wacko:

At school, I asked my friend two desks away for his eraser, and he tossed it to me while my back was turned. Somehow, I whipped around and caught it with two fingers before it smacked me in the back of my head.

Also, like MD, my friends throw stuff at me and I've caught them by accident a lot. One time, my friend kicked a basketball at my face, and I did this weird roll-spin thing and got away with minimal contact. It was pretty nifty.

While playing Cricket, minding my own business, staring into the stars... A ball came towards me... Suddenly it was in my hands, and I outed the batsman!

I told them it's in the genes, but no one believed me saying it was luck. Too bad it never happened again for me to prove them wrong. They were right :wacko:

You have to see what I do at table tennis. I'm really good at it since I have it at home and often play it with my friends and brother, but sometimes I just do amazing stuff. Like when the other player shot a really fast ball at the completely opposite side of the table I was at. I sort of jumped and fell to the floor, but managed just barely to hit the ball with my racket. It scraped the edge of the other players' part of the table, and so it was my point. I was all like 'Yeah, I do that kind of stuff all the time!' but I'm not really THAT good at it. That was nothing but dumb luck.

Sports, I have classic flukes in sports. In a game of dodgeball, I was last left and they had 5 players. I managed to dodge 3 balls and catch 2 that they threw and then we whipped them.

Of course, it was fluke, I usually suck

That happened to me too in grade school. The rules were different, but I did last at least five minutes by myself against seven people on the other team. Completely fluke.

I always stood on the frontlines of dodgeball. We had like those soft pansay dodgeball balls, so they were easy as hell to catch. They seemed to bounce off everyone's hand, but I just hugged them as they came in.

Then my smartass friend would throw one at my legs when I was catching one and would get put out, not to be caught back in cause nobody at my school was any good. =/


Flukes? I get them all the time in scrims. BOOM HEADSHOT, THROUGH THE WALL, GET CALLED A HACKER :(.

I once USP'd someone in the face, one shot, mid air while jumping off a building. I died when I hit the ground, but it was the winning kill of the round and match.

At baseball, while talking with a friend during training (he stood somewhat 10 feet away), I wasn't paying attention to the hitter. Suddenly people started yelling "watch out!!", but I didn't knew what they were talking about. I turned around, towards the hitter, and I was holding my glove in front of my eyes so I wouldn't look in the sun. Suddenly I felt the ball landing in my glove. It looked like I did it on purpose, but I'm lucky it didnt hit my head.

I was sitting on the sidelines of a soccer game waiting for the next changeover, and during those few short minutes I was hit in the face no less than three times. Everybody was laughing. :(

With tennis, we were playing a friendly match and there was this ball in the far corner I could never reach running. So I just through my racket at the ball. I hit the ball, and the ball even went over the net. My friend/opponent was so amazed that it was even a point.

I've tried it many times after that, but it never worked again.

At the Y a couple months ago, I had the gym to myself (it was 7:00 in the morning) and I made three 3/4 court shots in a row. From the opposite three point line!

I've shot a basket facing the opposite direction from half court, and it swished. I slottered everyone in a single round of Halo 2 where everyone else was WAY better than me (it's happened twice, and I suck at the game). I've tossed a plastic cup in the air and caught it in a similar plastic cup of the same size (trust me, it's REALLY hard to do. I've only done it twice out of a good 200 times). There's more, but I can't remember them all off the top of my head.
