This is the Puzzle Clock, as voted by Newlaunches.com as the weirdest yet most effective alarm clock. When the alarm starts ringing, the pieces are shot into the air, and the alarm will not stop until all the pieces are found and are slotted back into their correct positions. Wacky.

Ohh God I'd NEVER in my life buy such a puzzle clock! I would totally freak out if I had to make a puzzle in the beginning of the morning. A cup of coffee is more effective...

An alarm clock poll... Now I've seen everything! :( Random, but a good choice. I've got a digital clock and it works pretty well. I don't think I've got more words left about a clock, sorry. =/

I don't think solving a puzzle to stop an alarm clock would brighten my mood up on a Monday morning.
I have a digital alarm but I don't use it due to my freaky body clock which will always wake me up as early as possible, especially at the weekend. :(
Oddly though, I was always the last up when we were in Florida.

Genious. Anyway, I have a CDplayer/radio/alarm that i use. It's pretty nice, my only complaint is that the display is blindingly bright...

That puzzle clock... I want it. I want it badly. I probably couldn't even see it in the morning, but I want it. That is genius.

I have this piece of crap alarm clock that beeps so softly that I sometimes wonder why I keep it at all.

I've got a digital alram clock that's as loud as your standard in home firealarm. I never use it though. Most of the time I end up wakeing up from either my mom comming in and wakeing me, or the sound of her and my sister getting ready in the morning. I chose digital though.

I have a quick question about mp3 player alarm clocks -- do those actually require you having headphones on at the time of the alarm setting off? If so, how the heck can people stand to sleep like that?

It would be pretty stupid if they required you to have the headphones on. Maybe they have a reproducer or something..

I tried it and they just fell out of my ears. It works better if you hook it up to some miniature speakers.

For waking up, I rely primarily on a Digital Alarm clock (the alarm is actually the radio, and I usually set it to some music stations).

I also have a Digital Watch, but not one that I regularly use for alarm clocks.

I had a similar system on holiday. I woke up in the middle of the night, turned the DS on, moved back as light filled the room, checked the time, realised that it would be light if it was time to get up, before finally going back to sleep.

Seems like a somewhat arduous process for realizing that you should go back to sleep, does it not?

Never used my DS as an alarm; now I'm obliged to try. Go figure.

Digital clocks have an LCD screen that displays the time in numbers. It doesn't have a ring of numbers from 1 - 12 around the edge. I prefer digital myself, since it's quicker and easier to read.

What does bug me about my digital clock is that everytime there's a powercut it resets itself to midnight of the new millenium. Changing it back can be pretty annoying.

The reason I didn't include analog clocks is because I don't know anybody who still uses them, at least as alarms. If you have a beeping analog watch, I think that can safely fit into option 2.

Like beeping digital watches, minus the digital display, but retaining the digital beep. I've never had an analog watch, but if you're rich enough to afford a Rolex, you probably need the odd reminder to get to that random meeting or two.
