Death Note

Volumes: 12

It's about a student who finds the notebook entitled "Death Note", he soon finds that it works and starts passing judgment on criminals himself using the death note. Confronting L who is investigating he runs into twists and turns to prove his innocence and still keep the death note in use.

Twisted story and I love it :P

      It's pretty good, nothing fantastically amazing but just like Naruto/Bleach it's a wee bit overrated. Definitely worth checking out though, it's better than most of the junk manga.

          I just read the first volume. It's pretty funny in a twisted sense.

            I liked it, thought it is a bit over rated. The anime is good and twisted. It reminds me of Ghost in the Shell. It is all psychological so if you want lots of action, you won't get much out of it. But If you're like me who L-O-V-E-S the psychological and mind games then you probably would get a kick out of it.

            Either way, I like it, enough said. :>

              Some of the ways he gets people to die is pretty screwed up though.

                      I'm watching the anime right now, and I must say, Light, the main character, is brillient in his exicution, no puns intended, of his killings. It is creepy how well thought out his actions are.

                              haha see I always hear such amazing things about it, and I love the concept of it and the characters, but I just can't seem to get into it. I've watched a couple episodes of the anime version and it just can't keep my attention. grr...I will watch all of them >.<

                              what I love is they sell actual death note notebooks. hehe I want one :P

                                  I'm like Kate. I've heard ALL about it. But the thing I don't like about anime/manga like these are the fact that EVERYONE knows about them, and pretty soon they become unoriginal. It's sort of like Naruto and Bleach, just that one is ninjas, one is spirits, and this one is detective stuff. Mebbe once I'm done with Avatar (in a year or two, at this rate) I'll check this one out.
