I'm going out on a limb here to guess your talking about summer classes and it hasn't taken this long to get results from spring term to come in.

On a scale of Far Below Basic, Below Basic, Basic, Proficient, to Advanced (in ascending order of course)

              English-Language Arts: Proficient
Geometry: Below Basic (ask anyone in my class, the teacher was terrible)
              World History: Proficient
              Biology: Proficient
              Life Science: Proficient

There are loads of other sub-sorts to each subject, such as Reading Comprehension in English-Language Arts (which I scored 100% on, holy carp) but there are too many of them and I doubt you guys would care too much.

Is that really how they mark your exams? I'm just used to A,B,C.
For some reason everyone saying 'You'll do fine' to me about my GCSE results doesn't make me feel much better. Curse my lack of confidence and pesimisstic nature! (Not to mention my spelling)

These are for the SATS/CAT6's (they're the same thing) and are unique to California. It might be different in other states of the US.

i took the STAR Test to. I just got my restults bace a little while ago:

                    English-Language arts: Advanced
                    Math: Proficient
                    Scientce: Advanced
History: Proficient (Missed Advanced by one point :P )

I might have messed up, because i dont know were my scores are right now and im recalling them from memory. but i think this is pretty acurate.

We don't get lettered results. We just get a mark and a percentage.

xD Wifle, you pwnt me again (killed me in GCSEs remember). I only did three CAPE though (the Caribbean answer to A Level)... My only save face is that we didn't do the same exam lol'd.
                        Geography - A
                        Physics - B
Maths - C ... was so terrible. If I can find it, I'll email/PM it to you Wifle, just to see if you can do it, xD

I think I did pretty well, considering I did little preparation (was playing WoW so often x.x)

One of my friends got 4 As (Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Communication), while another who did law got 4 As from subjects I can't recall. They are making headlines accross the Caribbean I think. I refuse to listen to CAPE news.
They always pwn me. Oh well.

All in all, my year did better than all previous years, raising the percent pass. What a joy. Record scores in my school.

"Moving along" (that was my reaction to the poor results) ^^.

                        EDIT: Darksword and WD, I assume Advanced - A, Proficient - B, Below Basic - C?

And Me111, you'll do fine. Trust me, we all have the feeling of failure after doing an exam. When I did GCSE, I thought I was going to fail like 5 subjects. Didn't though.

^ something like that i guess. i think its:
                          Advanced: A
                          Proficient: B
                          Basic: C
                          Below Basic: D
                          Far Below Basic: F
dont know why they would change the names though

I think they're based something off of ratings of everybody who's taken the test where as "Proficient" would be a bit better than the average.

Yeah go for it Eug, I'd be interested to have a go.

National results got published for A Levels today (Not AS, but I expect the results would be similar)

Only 10% of entrants got A's in Critical Thinking, compared to about 20-30% in all the other subjects, so I expect that that exam was just naturally harder than most.

The % of girls getting A's was also bigger than the percentage of boys in every subject except the foreign languages, interestingly. (Spanish, German, French).

In my reports, I get a single page of results for each subject with a list of criteria, and five checkboxes of increasing positivity to show how well I fulfilled each of those criteria (homework handed in, efficiency in a group, bringing materials to class, etc). At the bottom of the page is a brief paragraph from a teacher describing my progress in that subject. That's it.

Woot Me111, I almost failed French this year but pulled a C. Not to rub it in your face or anything.

                                          To be fair:
I was doing the foundation course where the highest you can get is C.
                                          I passed.
                                          Who cares about French anyway?

                                            The French do!

But I took French mainly because eeevveeerrrybody takes Spanish in my school.

It was a case of either French that I'd been doing for 3 years previously or German that I'd done for 1.

Well, I had been studying French for 6 years in High School, and then when I went to Middle School I chose German, even though I could have chosen French. I just dislike it that much.
