Ok, I know I'm not around much but I've been having this problem for a little while now and I haven't been able to find an answer anywhere, so here goes nothing: I have a regular workout schedule, I run 3-4 miles on a daily basis varying time to very muscle pressure and I have a 45 minute crunch, press, pull and curl workout also on a daily basis. I used to do just fine and have no trouble with it at all, but recently I've been aching and getting tired faster without any change of my daily schedule. I haven't been under a lot of stress and my PE teacher checked for injuries but I just didn't have anything. Anybody know anything about this that might help? Because I'm getting kind of worried.

Well you have to consider other variables aside from workout schedule.

      Sleeping changes? Eating habits differing?

I'm sure you've already confirmed it's not your problem, but it couldn't hurt to remind you.

No, if I forgot to mention, I haven't had any sleeping changes or eating habit differences, nor am I using different gear which still fits me perfectly so size is ruled out too. :s

I'm not an expert (excerwha?) but perhaps you should go to a doctor if you're worried.

I second what Me111 said cuz I have no idea what the problem could be.
If I had to guess, I'd say you're working out too much, and that's your body's way of saying "I'm tired".

I don't think there's much to be worried about, I work out too(almost every day) and I used to get aches in my neck, back etc. but I just started doing exercises for the aching parts of my body ever day and now they're better. As for tiring quickly, perhaps you need more rest. Even though you may not feel it, your body may be tired.

Hmm...I've never had anything like that happen to me before. Best to see a doctor, though it's probably nothing serious.

Yeah, lets hope it's nothing serious. Though in this day and age, anything can be serious.

Does you feel any pain apart from the obvious physical exertion?

                      Agreed.
I did too much running at one stage, I was doing Indoor and Outdoor Soccer with Soccer training all in one week, and I noticed that I had varying degrees of shin splints during that time.
Perhaps this is just a buildup of longterm exertion?

What Nickelback says could be true. From what you describe (aching and tiredness) it sounds like a problem with your muscles (working out) and not your circulatory system (running). You probably already know this, but I'll tell you anyway. When you work out, you exert your muscles which causes small tears in the tissue. If you eat protein and get some good sleep, your muscles will patch those tears and your body will make your muscles bigger to try and prevent tearing again. That's why, if you want bigger muscles, you need to lift gradually heavier weights.

Maybe longterm exertion is causing your body to tell you, in the form of aching, that it wants a break. Or, alternatively, you can keep your schedule but instead eat more protein and get more sleep to compensate. If you keep aching, asking a doctor is better than asking random people on the internet.

Hahaha, I does not feel any pain apart from the obvious physical exertion, and I have a high protein balanced diet. I gradually increase my weight lifting and pressing and I also had my crunches calculated to match my liftings, maybe I should visit a doctor, I just thought you guys might come up with something that'd help just as well. Thanks for the advice though guys.

Anyways... if you keep aching, go ask a professional. Try putting a pack of ice or even better, some frozen peas (being serious here) on the parts that ache.

Part of it is, you shouldn't be doing all that every day. It is likely what is weareing you out. Most of the people I know work on upper body one day, then lower body the next day, followed by cardeo the next, a day of rest, then repeat. That way, you body as time to heal itself after each work out. My bro spent some time working in a gym and he told me this from the prspective of a physical trainer. But you still might want a doc to take a look just in case.

^ That's a good idea right there. You'll give different parts of your body time to rest while working out the other parts.

exactly, and in my PE classes I've had, its the same way. Upper body Mon, Lower body Tues, Mile run and Cardio on Wed, classroom stuff on Thursday, and then the pool on Fri. And I'll tell you, in Florida, when its 80 to 90 degrees at the end of the day, a nice cool pool feels great. And since it was my last class of the day before school ended, I skipped the shower and walked the mile home, then enjoyed a nice hot, privte, shower at home. Besides, there were something like sixty people in that class, most of them guys. And only about fifteen working showers. So I skipped the wait, and the fact that there wasn't much hot water for the locker rooms at the end of the day, and just went home after changing. (dear god, I got off topic. sorry)

You make it sound like you've got co-ed showers at your school.

No its just that there are fifteen showers on the men's locker room, and about forty five guys trying to use them.

Edit: and this was my high school I'm talking about. Although, co-ed showers would be nice if most of the girls in the class at that time were not fat.

Yeah I figured that's what you mean. No highschool would actually allow that sort of thing, though I've heard some universities have them.

What happens when you exercise is the muscle strings weaken, and then they grow back stronger when you rest. I think what the problem is, is you are not allowing them enough time to grow back.

Eat more walnuts. And try takeing baths instead of showers. The soaking heat is supposed to help draw out the acid that makes muscles ache. Walnuts in general are good for you.
