    Scientists from Duke University may have found the function of the Appendix; one of two body parts usually removed. The other being the tonsils.
    Basically, the Appendix "produces and protects good germs for your gut."

    Goes to show you how mankind knowledge and 'facts' changes everyday. Last week, the answer to the question "What is the function of the appendix" in Biology would have been 'Do not have any specific function', today it'll be 'produces and protects good germs for your gut' :P

        Not really. According to the article, the function isn't really needed in industrialized countries, but developing countries still can benefit from it.

                I still have my appendix and my tonsils and I wear contacts at night that allow me to see in the daytime without any assistance! I think I may just be superior to each and every one of you. But, you already knew that.
