[Golden Legacy]

It's December and everywhere signs of the holidays are around. Decorations and caroling and Christmas television specials and lights and the happy spirits of people - get in the season mood folks, 'tis the most joyous time of year!

This is the time where the cold weather period is at it's peak and I already long for the summer... There isn't much decoration around over here yet, cause here we're still celebrating a similair sort of national holiday; Sinterklaas.

I'm not looking forward too much for Christmas, but New Year's evening sounds more promising this year for me. But yeah, at least the meaning behind 'the most joyous time of the year' is doing great things to people around me, but I just can't wait for summer to come in again.

Christmas means 360, so it cant come fast enough. But we break up from school earlier this year, so it's going to be going really slow when we do (19th) until the 25th.

The malls and stores around my area have had decorations up since Halloween. :D

Oh crap. Tomorrow means that all of my friends in my form ( who coincidentally happen to be girls) will be playing christmas music and singing along to it. They're hot, and they're great people, but they cant sing for toffee.

With only a week of classes left, my holiday will be long, and boring, untill x-mas. I think the one part about x-mas I don't like is the getting gifts for other people. I'm not cheap, I just don't know what to get for my family. Perhaps I'll just get gift cards to store I know they shop at.

I'm indecisive about what I want and the 6th form have to do some sort of Christmas show. I can't wait for Christmas.
I've also begun to realise that it's only Christmas when the Coca Cola advert with Father Christmas in appears on TV.

Christmas really has become way too commercialized, but this time of year is nonetheless awesome. I love the snow, having snowball fights, skiing, and building snowmen with my little bro.
Also, I can't wait for Eid, I think it's on the 21st.

It's tough to remember the whole christmas spirit thing when the weather is so different. I just got in from playing volleyball barefoot in a sand court, and now I'm like, "Oh yeah, it is december."

In New York, it snowed in the morning, making the whole area look really nice, and the snow was fun to play in. Later on, it started to rain and the snow got all slushy. Then the dirt turned to mud which mixed with the snow and turned it brown and now everything looks horrible.

At least this is the dry season in FL, so it is somewhat dry this time of year. Although, it has rains on x-mas more then once. "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas" my ass, I'm dreaming of a dry Christmas.

That's typical city snow for you. I grew up with those kind of winter conditions in NYC, so I'm used to that. However, here in college (in Boston, which is a bit further north), we just had a fresh blanket of the real, powdery stuff - it looks wonderful and so scenic, I'm really enjoying it. :D

I actually live on scenic Long Island, though I do love to go to the city, it's so much more exciting and fun. But it always rains after the snow around this area, so we always get slush and ice.

you would be surprised. but i guess it can be more noticable depending on where you live. Here in fl, there have been cases where my house get dumped on by rain, yet the houses on the other side of the street don't get a drop. seriously, its happened before. But now we're getting off topic

I remember haveing weather kind of like that in Ocala FL. I miss living there.....but I'd DEFINATELY change a few things about the house. The outdoor pool would become indoor for one. Dang freaking beetles.....

But yeah, snow. 'N stuff. It rained today, but that rain made the previous day's snow MUCH easier to mold. Dry snow does not make good snowballs. Damp snow however, that's the best stuff.

I'm just hopeing that the slush and water turns to ice over night (which is usually about 22 degrees F here at this time). That way we won;t have to go to school tomrrow. =D
But I remember one year when we got like a foot of snow. We had at least three or four snow days and a ton of late starts. That was a good year. :D

So yeah... December, snow, Christmas... I can't say I'm really looking forward to everything that comes with it. However, I can't wait for the school break and wherever I'll be going for New Year's Eve. Don't know yet where I'll be going, but it'll surely be an awesome party. But the damn snow... Eurgh.

So dont. I take the easy way out. I'm so cheap, I send out xmas emails. Not just text, I make a nice photoshop xmas card. I'm also incredibly selfish, I only like xmas for the presents, the food and no school.

My friend got a snow day on his birthday earlier this year. There was about 3-4 inches.
Unlucky for me though, I live in a village in the middle of nowhere and all of the roads are covered in snow, so there was no way I could go out and meet up with some friends.

I hope it snows more than that this xmas.

Boston has better snow than NYC apparently. It snowed here a few days ago, and we've already got a good six inches (15 cm or so) on the ground, and it's the fluffy, powdery kind of snow. Back in NYC, it was always slushy and even black, so this is a nice change.

It was cold as balls this morning in FL, a brisk 42 for the morning temp. And stupid me was in shorts and a t-shirt. Thankfully, it warmed up to about 72 by noonish. Damn 7 am final.

A few days ago (three-ish maybe), we had an ice storm over here. Sidewalks were completely coated. It made walking to school tough. Now, most of the ice is gone and it's just really cold. I do hope that we get a proper snowfall soon, instead of these sporadic dustings we've been getting. All they do is freeze the grass.

We actually have had a lot of cold weather here, surprisingly. There's beautiful snow up on the mountains, but down here in the valley, it's not cold enough. I just went outside and the thermometer says it's right at 50 F. I love how all the Cali girls and Mexicans are complaining it's too cold. Me? I love this weather!
