Think of it this way:

Really, ninjas suck in real life. As proved by the Mythbusters they can't walk on water, they can't reflect bullets, can't catch arrows or swords, blah blah. Pirates would basically rape-- I mean, loot them.

BUT, if we're talking about fictional pirates and ninjas, THEN Ninjas could totally kick pirate ass. But cowboys would totally own both of them.
