This movie just came out today, and it looks really good. I need to wait until Sunday to get my free tickets, though (I work at the theater), so I'm going to see it Sunday evening.

What do you guys think of the movie? D'you want to see it?

I plan to see it. But I plan to wait a week or so. By then I'l be at my parent's place for the holidays and the tickets there are cheaper than the tickets here.

Hehe same, I just started working at the movies this month, Hooah for free movies ;)

This movie just looks great, it's Will Smith and it just seems like a good idea, on the bad side, it doesn't come out until Jan down here.

My sister just saw it. She said it actually scared her, and few movies do that apparently. But I want to see it badly.

I hear it's also a book. Never read it, so I'm not gonna watch the movie until I read the book. Just my philosophy =)

Hmm I'm tempted to read the Wiki article as well, just to find out the plot.

Wow...the book is really different from the movie. After comparing what I read in the book's plot summary and what I saw in the movie, the movie altered a lot of the book's plot.

That happens most of the time. Eragon is a great example of this. The book was great, but the movie gave me cancer.

At least I Am Legend was good as a movie. The Harry Potter movies are so bad, except for The Sorcerer's Stone and The Chamber of Secrets.

I saw the movie and it was actually really good. It had its scary moments, especially when he's searching for his dog in the dark (reminded me a little bit of Resident Evil). The ending is weird, but if you go solely to see Will Smith act out of his mind, you won't be disappointed. He is fantastic once again as the last man on Earth.

This movie is great. SHows how much Smith has came from the Fresh Prince. Not that FP was bad. Just shows how far he's came as an actor.

                                        SPOILERS...Kinda

The dogs and rats with the virus were ****ed up. Also the ending kind of seemed like it came on too soon.

But yes this movie is great. Go see it

Anyway, anyone who read the book can offer a comparison?

Oh ya that would work. I just haven't visted a forum in over a year, and completly forgot what the tags were for spoilers.

On another note, when did said book come out.

It came out in the 70's, it's actually quite an old book. There's already been two movie adaptations before I Am Legend but both of them were mediocre, making the window for success much greater for the people behind the modern movie.
