Am I the only person who has noticed the numbers are changing, or are just plain wrong.
So when I first cam on here today it said I was the top poster today with 20 posts when I haven't even posted 20 times outside of the common room. And it just changed to 15, then 13. Does anybdoy have an explanation for this. Because I definetly haven't psoted that many posts today

It's based on a 24 hour range. You had 20 posts at one point in the previous 24 hour time frame - but, those posts are "spread out", so that some post counts will be "extinguished" earlier than others once it's become more than a day for them.
For example:
Day 1:
- 3 posts at hour 1
- 7 posts at hour 6
- 4 posts at hour 12
- 6 posts at hour 20
total: 20
Currently it is still "Day 1", the 24 hours from from the first 3 posts in this list. However, when the time passes an extra hour beyond that first day (i.e. it is now 25 hours since the first posts), those posts expire for the day.
Day 2: (really the next 24 hour time frame after the first post)
- 7 posts at hour 5
- 4 posts at hour 11
- 6 posts at hour 19
total: 17
and so forth.

Did it make sense? Someone else probably has a better explanation than my convoluted one, sorry.

Yours made perfect sense. That was a better explanation than I expected to get.
