Actually it wasn't VG cats. That comic was a parody of a first-person action/puzzle game called Portals by the Valve company. (It's part of the famed Orange Box) As you might guess, in it you use a portal generator to accomplish your mission objectives, namely, varoius experiments and test chambers designed to assess your abilities. One of the games most distinctive features is that it rewards the player with cake instead of points or whatever.

*Possible spoilers if you plan on playing Portal*

The research lab is in good condition, but appears devoid of other people. It is implied that the computer system which guides you through the game exterminated the scientists that once manned the facility. (There is a red phone in one of the offices with its line cut that was meant to be used to place an emergency call in the event that the computer tried to take over. The computer once mentions the phone, indicating that "This fail-safe did not operate as intended.")

Main gameplay areas appear pristene and sterile, but various broken walls lead to "backstage" areas of the test facility. These often appear to have been ransacked by untold experiments gone awry, or possibly the ubiquitous computer system. There is one room in which the corpse of a researcher is found. He was driven mad by the nature of his experiments and "The Cake is a Lie" was among the erratic scribblings that can be seen on the walls of the room.

There's also a VG Cats flash parody of the "Still Alive" song from Portals. Someone linked in on here someplace. It was probably in TRT, in which case, you can find it yourself.

I actually average about 10+ per day if you look at the top posters of the day list thingy. It's so low because of the trip to Tennesee I took in '06, and the 3 month ban from my computer (yay parents) shortly there after. So about 6 or so months of not posting.
