How unfortunate that such a young, innocent being had to die as a result of her parents' idiocy.

On a side note, " left at the Neumann home". Come on, that's just not funny.

No, I'm not saying it's not bad that she died because of her parents, I'm saying it's funny because it's another death caused by religion. It just proves my points even more.

Reminds me of that joke.
A man is caught in floods, and he cant swim. So he prays to god for help. A boat comes along, offers to help him and he replies ' No thanks, god will save me'. Then a helicopter comes along, offers to give him a ride and he says the same thing. A plane comes along and tells him to climb aboard, but he declines again, saying god will save him, so the plane goes away and he drowns. In heaven, he asks god ' God, I prayed for you to save me, why didnt you help me?' and god replied ' Are you kidding? I sent a boat, a helicopter and a plane!'

"The mother believes the girl could still be resurrected, the police chief said."
These are fanatics.

"A family prayed that God would help their little girl recover from her injuries after a twister hit their home.
Presumeably that's a different God from the one who almost killed her with a tornado"

But let's just make it clear, this isn't to turn into a grand religion debate (we all know where those end up). Just a news story that struck me.

They believed the key to healing "was it was better to keep praying. Call more people to help pray," he said.
The mother believes the girl could still be resurrected, the police chief said.
Telephone messages left at the Neumann home by The Associated Press were not immediately returned.
The family does not attend an organized church or participate in an organized religion, Vergin said. "They have a little Bible study of a few people."
I stopped reading at the bold sentence. It was to retarded to read any farther.

Technology is debatable, but generally, its use is considered a unique characteristics to humans, although chimpanzees do utilize simple tools.
For the most part, we created both. If you can provide some sources which indicated other species utilized both before humans, care to prove me wrong =)
