I don't care how good the 360 is, I'm not buying one until they fix that issue, I'd rather get a Ps3 at this point, and I like the 360 better!

Techincally it's supposed to fix the solder or however you spell it. Worked for a good 3 days when I did it.

Wrapping it in towels would only make it worse, as the it would heat up the solders even more, causeing them to fail.
If it's a problem of overheating, yank the power chord as soon as the RRoD appears and let it sit for a day or two.

Or you could totally do the towel trick that works.
