    If there is a GS3, what do you guys think the Wind and Earth Adepts will be like? In the previous games, Ivan and Sheba have been slightly less powerful in terms of physical combat than the other players, while Isaac and Felix have been among the most powerful. Example:

    Fire:: Garet <--> Jenna
    Water:: Piers <--> Mia
    Wind:: <--> Ivan, Sheba
    Earth:: Isaac, Felix <-->

    I would like to see the Earth Adept be a female, and more based for psynergy combat than physical combat, and a Wind Adept as the primary melee unit.

      I was wondering what that would be like just the other day.

        that actually sounds pretty good.

        Here's my joke for a GS3. The Golden Sun that was the result of the 4 lighthouse beacons being lit is destroying the ozone. It's up to Isaac, Felix, Goku, and Neil Peart to fix this and reduce CO2 emissions caused from that flying boat.

            That would be really neat to see. It would definitely change things from the stereotypical "earth is more masculine, wind is weaker". Having a Wind Adept as a melee unit would be sick.

              I think it's good the way it is.
              Earth is good with combat.
              Fire is good with combat psynergy.
              Water is good with healing.
              Wind is good outside battles.

              So I don't think they should change anything. :)

                The only problem with that is that it would go against the nature of the elements that the characters represent.

                  Not necessarily. Wind would be like some kind of ninja with quick and precise melee attacks.

                      Not really. While they are agile, they weren't particularly effective physically. With their high amount of PP and powerful attack psynergy they represented mages and spellcasters more than they represented ninjas.

                        you give Ivan an Assassin Blade or the Swift Sword and he'll show you some physically effective combat. ;)

                          But it's the weapon doing the work, not him. Give Isaac and Ivan the same sword and Isaac will do far more damage.

                            true, but it would still be physically effective either way. Isaac just has more physical effectiveness. and it doesn't really matter who holds the Assassin blade if it unleashes it's power and OHKOs the mob.

                            i kinda like how the classes are and think they should keep them as is. otherwise, if they were all equal, then there would almost be no point in separating everyone into the different Adept groups. earth are all-arounders, and fires are tanks. wind has the upper-hand with offensive magic, and water has the healing touch.

                              Piers wasn't a very effective healer because he was sloow, though. They did move the stats around between the elemental characters in TLA.

                                    all elements have a destructive side and a 'healing' side. eg Jenna uses fire to heal rather than blow things up, and Alex uses water to blast people rather than heal.

                                    But anyway, it seems our garret clone in gsds could be a wind adept, judging by the lightning from his axe :lol:

                                      I really wanna see something other than Earth for the main character. It's all well and good, but if we have descendants with the exact same elementals as their parents, what's the point?.?.
