There's absolutely nothing to suggest either way judging from the trailer. Can go either way looking at in game lore as well; they could be beginning their extinction cycle with the humans to set an example and as a result of Shepard's intervention, or just be conducting it on all the races.

One neat thing about the trailer, it looks like they include the Shard building that's currently being constructed in London. Maybe it's just meant to be another skyscraper though. If not, it's a nice touch.

Nothing in Mass Effect 2 suggested they had any intentions to go after race other than humanity at the time. Not only that, a lot of the pressers specifically state that the Reapers are going after Earth. Shepard must band the races together to save earth, to take back earth etc. This could be some elaborate scheme intended to shock & amaze when the Reapers go after the citadel or w/e but I think it's just a press release telling it like it is.

True, I hope it is just Earth being targeted because it'd make more sense gameplay wise.
And @TEM, I knew you'd pick up on that. I assume it's just some sort of super structure. Glad they've actually done their research though and not put everything in the wrong place like games usually do with London (Timeshift i'm looking at you)

Mass Effect 2 is legit. Your break will be well spent.
As for ME3, I'm debating going down to PAX just to play the demo.

;P
Mass Effect 3 will probably be $60 at launch on the PC, and since I'm still boycotting that price I'm going to wait for Christmas to get the discount price. Possibly later. I'm going to pick up Skyrim and Uncharted 3 instead.
Some of these games are going to HAVE to get delayed though. There's no way that Mass Effect, Skyrim, Uncharted, Call of Duty, Arkham City, and Battlefield are ALL coming out at around the same time.

Exactly, so get the one you can complete first before the one that will take eons and eons to complete. LOGIC HURR DURR.
But yeah I'm looking to ME3 more than any other game this year for obvious reasons; the conclusion to my favourite gaming series of all time. The culmination of all my choices throughout the past 3 years in one giant bomb of a story. The Mass Effect universe alone is enough to draw me back but the fact that it's being shitted up makes me care deeply not only for Shepard but for everyone else I've connected with across the games. I'm almost sad it's coming to an end but I know Bioware will send it off absolutely incredibly. I have utmost faith that this will be the best game I've played to date.
COME AT ME, REAPERS

Think it was Miyamoto that said that. If I have to wait longer so be it.

This delay in particular is a sigh of relief for me. I was skeptical considering how ME2 was released just at the beginning of last year, ME3's release date seemed... too soon.
Plus, with Dragon Age 2's mixed reception, the pressure is on to make ME3 great.

It wasn't even a delay really, no official date was ever announced. But Bioware can take their time with it, I want it to be perfected to the utmost.
DA team =/= Mass Effect team. Its really annoying me hearing people be fearful of ME3 due to DA2's failure. Same company, completely different development teams.
