And Excalibur???? No

Excalibur only has a five percent chance of being forged, so yes, it will usually require quite a lot of time and luck.

However, there is an RNG method for it. Check other topics about Excalibur or Forging items (sorry that this didn't help...)

The RNG for Excalibur doesn't work for me. But maybe I'm lucky or something because I never have trouble getting Excalibur.

Well, to be honest, I did try the RNG, but either I did not perform it correctly, or I was lucky (I had to use that method several times before I got the Excalibur myself). Perhaps the RNG simply increases your chances of getting it... or maybe I just can't use it well...

hmm....I got excalibur on I think my 1st-3rd try. I've not gotten another since, but I've only forged about 20 orihalcons so far.

...so, yeah. keep trying. you'll probably get it eventually. the odds of getting mythril shirts is about 1 in 1000 or so (I'm just guessing, though), but that's not stopping me from trying to get 4!

Um. The MOST number of times it should take to forge Excalibur is 20 times (5% chance).

But since you saved and reset, you ruined the 5%. Oh well.

First time I tried to get it it took me ages, so I gave up. Then when I went back, I got it fairly quick. If you can't get it, come back to it later.

I haven't had that much trouble with excalibur recently, but I can't seem to be able to get a darksword.

Actually, I think the DarkSword has a 10% chance of being forged although I can't remember perfectly.

Anyways, for the Excalibur, just follow LK's RNG.

a)The LK method of forging Excalibur

In my quest for creating an unbeatable no-summon Dullahan strategy, I 
remembered about Excalibur, and how Dullahan is weak against Wind. I also 
remembered about how hard it is to forge (5% chance). I then set out to find a 
way to forge it at will. If there was a way to make enemies drop items all the 
time, then there must be a way to forge the item you wanted all the time. Sure 
enough, I found it after a lot of experimentation.

THE METHOD

First of all, make sure that the Orihalcon is the first item in your first 
person's (the one farthest on the left in battles) inventory. To achieve this, 
go to the Items screen and while the cursor is on that person, hold L and press
A four times. That should bring the Orihalcon to the top. If it doesn't, then 
give anything in front of it to someone else. Now save your game while standing
directly in front of Sunshine in bed. This way, once you load the file, all you
have to do is press A as fast as you can to talk to him, give him the O, and 
confirm. You must always do this in exactly the same time every time, as the 
amount of time you spend in Sunshine's house seems to alter the second RNG. Did
that make sense? Try timing yourself and see if it works so far.

Now hard reset. Press A rapidly until it brings up the screen where it flashes 
"PRESS START". Now when it starts flashing, "PRESS START" will be bright white 
for about 1.5 seconds, then it fades out and comes back again brightly. Wait 
for it to flash three times, then on the fourth flash press Start right before 
it fades out again. After pressing Start, press A as fast as you can. It will 
load up the file(if it is the first one) and give Sunshine the O. Proceed to 
the Sanctum and back. You are now the owner of one Excalibur!!!



Tested and guaranteed to work 100% of the time if timed correctly. Thanks to 
the folks in the GS:TLA message board for confirming that it works. Some people
on the boards find that this method seems to work better if you save the game
at Sunshine's HEAD before the hard reset, and change the text speed to Fast. If
all else fails, try saving it outside of the house entirely. That's all the 
help I can give, because I haven't had any trouble with the method, but then 
again I'm the one who created it.

This works 100% of the time if you're doing it correctly. If it doesn't work for you, than it's your human error, not the method.

When i was Noob i got Excalibur first go and thought that it was that particular piece of oricahulum that made it.

My friend also got it first go from the same piece, thus strengthening my theory.

You know wat they should do in the next GS(if there will be one) if u want to forge something and u want a choice between weapons and armor u can tell the blacksmith which 1 u want(weapon or armor) and depending on ur luck he can give u a really good weapon or not so good weapon from wat he forged.

on my second game i got it quite easy, about 5 trys till i got it ^_^
