How about a guestbook type thing where people can type what they think about you? This may be a bad idea, I can see how it would get shot down, but the topic in what you think about other members is overflowing (in the off topic section) and people who want to know what people think about them would then learn. The people could write in messages in the stats place that shows the members total posts and join date.

Guestbook on the site is a bad idea. There is work in maintaining it and most of the time, guestbooks get abused.

I don't like the idea. If you want to see what others think of you, visit the topic.

Silly Idea Tycho, no offence. A guestbook is just one more thing max or someone else has to oderate and check up on. Better off just visiting the topic.

Well, I say it's not a bad idea, Colonol Tycho. Naturally, it would be difficult to maintain, and it may slow down the server if a Guestbook i, as Nick said, abused. But you can always tell what others think of you just by posting throughout the forum (and not just in that "What do you think about members) topic. So... yeah...

Sorry, but that is not a very practical idea. That is why we have forums, so you can make posts, in one place, about whatever you want within reason. I know the topic may be getting large, but there is no reason to waste additional time and server resources to set up yet another service to get flooded.

Yeah, I know, I was just thinking about random stuff, thought about that, and decided to try it out. I didnt think it would, i dunno, become part of the GSS website, but just the idea for it made me think. Or how bout something like "How would you rate this member? and have a scale of 1-10. I dunno bout this one either, but I'm just thinking up stuff.

My verdict is, why would anyone be so insecure to actually care what other teens, and even pre-teens, in other countries, miles away, think about them, seems kinda sad really, to care about other users opinion of you.

What a person thinks, is what a person thinks. Sometimes it's best not to know what others think about you.

It's good to know, but it's bad to care, because you'll end up getting so uptight about it, and then fights will start, and flaming, followed by spam, then warnings, it's just not worth it.

Yeah, some people get offended in some sort of way, if people talk about others in a bad way. That's why it's best not to really worry about what others think about others.

People should get offended in the first place. Think about, these people are usually your age or younger, their oppinion don't matter! I don't see how people can offended by what people living in other countries think about them, madness!

You sort of caught me. No...! People shouldn't be offended. (Unless it's something really personal) If being offended in some words brings someone down, then wouldn't it be like they already given up? Well, that's your opinion on the matter, and this is mine.
