Build just a pool, big, but with just a diving board and the ladder. After all members are in the pool, sell both of the pool items. Speed up a bit until they are tired. Tada! You gotta death on your hands ^_^
Yeah, the sims is great, I love building gigantic homes or two homes on one lot, that is, when i get enough money.

SimCity 4, on the other hand is great. Just get the Rush Hour expansion pack and grab a couple of mods from SimCityCentral and Simtropolis and you've got a game that'll keep you up all week. Then another week downloading new content. Then a week of sleeping in class and skipping your homework for sleep. Rinse, repeat. SimCity is civilization! (No pun intended.)
Come to think of it, I might get The Sims 2, because I've heard it's got some more SimCity-like management features and possibly the feature to transfer the neighborhoods to SimCity 4. It should keep me interested for a while.

In response to this, you dont need to buy the ladder; i figured out that you just need to buy the board. They cant get out and you dont need to sell anything.

I like building my own house by setting the money to oh lets say for example 10,000
And then you have to live off it...Its fun trying to challenge yourself with limitations...
Oh and its funny to see my friend's sims die by a stove fire...Man, he's horrible at that game...

Just playing through...
I like it. What makes it so addictive though?
*Wonders why it's so addictive*

The point of Sims is... eh... well thats the thing about it, there isn't really a point. ;) Ya just play with virtual characters and make 'em do things you do yourself just about everyday. It's oddly addicting. This game is good for those people who have WAAY to much time on their hands.

Want a floating house??? Its easy, just build a two story house and sell the bottom story... Ta da!
Fun with fireworks: set them off inside!
Try and get the cops, fireman, repairman, maid, gardener, newspaper, debt collector, baby abuse lady (not sure about this one) and other NPC's into one room for a snapshot.
Make a pool with only a dive board or waterslide for it and when the kids get to much...
Water house: have your pool everywhere inside! No floor atall, except for 100% necessary place (bedroom, kitchen etc)
If you have Vacation, Hotdate and Unleashed, make a custom shop in your neighborhood with everything! Clothes, pets, games etc. This will save you the cost for going on vacation and downtown. (Unleashed® is a must)
Copy things off TV. I made a Kwik-i-mart and The Simpsons house as best I could by remembering them (I got the Simpson house floor plans from an Architectual assignment, so I killed two birds with one stone there.) My sis has a neighborhood full of celebraties aswell (Including herself married to Orlando Bloom *rolls eyes*)
Download stuff! I have a Sephiroth exact look-a-like! Woo Hoo. Dont ask where I got it. Look in Google, you'll find something. Others I found were Sailor Moon, Liquid snake, A crappy homer simpson and other popular TV/ video game personalities.
Cars! you want your sim to have a car? well look on google, dont ask me. I have a Ferrari, "Skyline" type thing. Other things I have include Swords, Dragon stuff, Stereos, new seats etc. NB: Cars cannot be driven, only washed, for now
Well that all I can think of for making The Sime® more fun for now. Until next time!

Does anybody have the University and Nightlife expansions for the Sims 2? Are they worth getting at all?

Right now, I'm definitely getting Seasons, no doubts. I'm also looking at Nightlife; gotta have cars and restaurants. Going to community lots in the core Sims 2 sort of sucks, since time stops at your house but still goes on in the lot that you're at, which makes your Sim still get hungry and tired and such. By the time you get home, it could still be morning and your Sim would be really tired and hungry... stupid eh? Actually, community lots in general kind of sucked. Hopefully Nightlife will fix that with restaurants so at least, your Sim won't be hungry by the time they get home, and with the new items specifically for community lots.
I'm not made of money (still saving for a Wii AND a TV!) so later I might get Pets. I can live without University. Not everybody liked it. Maybe I'll ask for it at Christmas and get it free. Mwahaha. The Stuff packs can be stuffed up my ass. Maxis won't have my money so easily.
I want opinions! By the way, this belongs in Other Games, not computer games.

As for downloading them, I tried. Every time, I would scan it before running it it would just be a virus. I'd love to hear where I can buy cheap.

On a side note, I can't wait till the new expansion next month, even though it will almost be like a re-make of Sims: Vacation. I just hope its the best out of the other expansions.
