I made a search on this to see wether or not this question was asked before, but I didn't find anything. So... what level do you need to be to beat the Colloso tournament? I'm playing GS1 again, and I'm telling you, I'm getting tired of being taken down on the last Colloso battle, *sniff* it hurts my pride. T_T I'm in Kalay right now, but I want to be the appropriate level before I get to Tolbi on the ship. I actually beat the last guy in Colloso the first time I played GS1, but the last two times I played GS1 I kept losing to him! T_T Right, so does anyone know?

Beating them is quite easy. Just cast Ragnorok and heal when need to. The minimum level to beat them is 15.

Minimum...I think my characters were at level 19-23. I'm not sure. I would have to look back and see. =\ (Colloso is in another file so I can fight them over and over again)

Ok thanks guys. And Ragnoroking them over and over doesn't really work for me because it costs alot of Psy points at that time plus healing, but I'll try it. Any other suggestions?

Well around level 20 and yeah use djinn on him and then use summons that worked for me

along with summons, use ragnorak, it works. After every battle, before you get the other ppl to cheer, walk around to recover the psy points you lost.

Yes that's what I do I unleash djinn to be able to cast judjmant once Then I just use kagnorak

Mix up all the djinni so you get all needed psynergys and use the djinni in battle... heal only if necessary... Tey to be allways the fastest ^_^

I was always faster then them. but if you want to be faster you can use vine on them

I like jupiter so I gave them to Isaac and he's my fastest character in the game so I always got the first turn

I don't want to switch Djinn around because if I do, Isaac won't have any healing powers unless I rearange 'em to make him a Water Adept (and Water Adepts are sorta weak in stats). Alright, so during battle I should start unleashing my Djinn and summon Judgement and then brinng the dude down with Ragnorok, healing when necessarry? Ok, got it, and I always run around before battle to regain PP. Some one else can add to it if they want.

I was around Lvl 17 with Fizz and the 4 Earth Djinn available at that point.
Use Earth Djinn purely except when you need health then use Fizz or Cure/Cure Well. If you summoned Judgement last turn use Ragnarok.

The method that you mentioned, Wind Dude, summoning Judgement, then using Ragnarok/Healing is what I'd recommend...

Also, assuming you have six Venus djinn at this point (Flint, Granite, Quartz, Sap, Ground, and Vine), I'd also try going into the battle with all Djinn set (which is more effective than one might think). Unleash Flint for some nice damage, use Sap to effectively heal your HP, and use either Granite or Ground to "stall"- by the time you summon Judgement, the Colloso Warrior (Azart? meh) should be *very* weakened.

If you have not felled the C.W. (probably), then use either Granite or Ground (the one you did not use previously) to once again "stall". If you unleashed Flint first, it should also recover first, and you may then unleash it for (hopefully) the finishing blow.

I know I make it sound complicated, but it's actually very simple ^_^

I don't like setting Djinn before battle because I don't want to start out with low stats and weak Psynergy, (with the exception of beating Dullahan in GS2 with that strategy) but the other Djinn strategy sounds like it'll work nicely. So, the if I don't beat CW after I unleash Flint should I summon again, and then keep on Ragnoroking him?

I agree, setting djinn is preferable (except against Dullahan, yes...)

Also, well, you shouldn't need to summon again. You should focus on using Ragnorak/Healing after unleashing Flint. It will become easier as it progresses, because your other djinn will also recover, increasing your stats.

Oh, and if you are at least level 17, then both strategies should work fine.

ok 1st turn flint

2nd turn: If he hurts you use Sap if he doesn't use ground

3rd: the the other one that hasn't been used from the 2nd turn

4th: granite

5th: judgement

6th: If not dead heal yourself

7th: Ragnorok

8th: if not dead repeat steps 1-7 thats what i did to kill him.

That is almost exacly the same as what I did. But what is the point of using sap in the third turn is you don't use it in the seacond turn he won't be able to damage you in the seacond turn

Lol, I just went to Tolbi ship last night, and then I went to bed, and I haven't touched my SP since! :( But I'll get to it sometime today, remember, I have to do the whole Tolbi ship thing, then go to Atmiller cave and get Babi, THEN do Colloso. I'll post here and tell you guys how it went after I go through Colloso though.

:) I didn't play with my CG and my PS2 in a while either! I should play with them soon too...PS2...I dont know what game I'll play...CG, I think I'll play Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles again. :P I just love fighting the final boss...! So much fun!

Yup thats some good advice. If you have atleast 6 earth djinn then the battles against the warriors will be easy.

Okay, using ED's strategy I beat him, after the first Judgement I Ragnoroked him until and Cure Welled until Sap was set, used him to regain HP and do damage and beat 'im :P so thusly, I beat Colloso :P

And if anyone else wants to post a strategy, they can. :)
