This one didn't turn out as well, as the camera focused on the bush, so the squirrel is a tinch blurred...
Again, best when large:

Thats kinda like my cat. He's orange and likes people, but doesn't gurt anyone. (His front claws were removed, but not the back claws, but he never will cratch you w/it, he only scratches himself with the back claws.)
If I can, I'll take a pic of my cat...
But, I do like the snake pic and the strangely edited cat pic PDM did.... O_O

Okay, enough vain-ness, but seeing how it's more of a part-time job with not much pay, I decided maybe I could do it as part-time, but I can't actually live off this stuff.
#43
Posted 05 November 2004 - 10:13 AM
Live off of them, that is.
You may not even know this, but your pictures are actualy great. They aren't center bullseye composition. They give action to a still pose. and it shows nature in it's fullest with the flowers and the cat with it's paw lifted. The color range in the picture is something that gives it brilliance.

The flower arrangement in that picture are great! A base of gray, but the yellow and the pink flow great with the slight white. My compliments to the gardener as well as the photographer. Great picture!

That is my the garden in my backyard, my mom's a good gardener, but I wish my house were just as cool. T_T
Well, this pic isn't as cool as my other pics, but it's not exactly terrible either, I wish I could take more pictures this year (all the pics I've put up are from my summer vacation when I took walks) but the weather isn't good enough for stuff like that.

Well... DA's still being... flimsy (the submission part keeps going on and off, if you know what I mean) so... we'll just have to try tomorrow. :P

It's nothing too special.
Okay, I'm probably gonna sound stupid giving advice like some famous professional phtographer but anyway.
The way you do it is by taking photos at different times of day.
During the day time, when the sun is highest, shadows won't appear as crisp or long, so if you want long shadows and bright lighting, take photos in the evening when the sun is lower, making shadows longer and more crisp, like that photo. This isn't the best time to take other photos, though. For example, you don't want to take photos behind a hill during the evening, because chances are, you aren't going to get much light, as the sun might be behind a hill, blocking light.
Then during the daytime, you'll get light just about anywhere, but since the sun is higher, the shadows won't look quite so cool, but hey, at least you got light.
So in the end, taking photos during sunset may not always work, because the sun might get into your lens or it might be blocked by a hill or something, but when it works it sure does make your photos look more artistic.

What the heck are you talking about? More people post in your art topic then they do mine! And mine was around longer then yours. Actualy look at all of the people that post there. And is it because what other people draw are better then yours?
Stop, open your eyes, and look around a bit. Cuz all you will see is rectum.
Few people post in my section, and you don't see me getting angry about it.
P.S.:good work! Though sunsets are rather Cliche', and there isn't much composition in it. It's good in depth and thought! Keep it up!

It's supposed to be me crossed between Ivan. Took about 3 minutes or so to do.
I know he has no ears, but this is for 2 reasons:
1) I hate drawing ears (heh...)
2) My hair is so long you can't see my ears that much anyway.
So, love/hate, post comments on it, dammit!
EDIT: Whoa, big view is too big.
...
Meh.
#95

but anyway, avoiding the ears
It's actually pretty good, I mean the basic structure is definitely. But, it looks a skewed to one side... you also should add a neck line.
but yeh, good job and nice to see that you have joined the drawing ranks ^^
