I loved this game and if you guys love it then what character do you use the most and which character are you best with?
Me? Well I like to use Roy...he looks cool dressed in gold...and his attacks are very strong...too bad he's kind of slow...hehe ^_^

You have FE Sword of Seals?
If not then you can't say he's childish...
Anyways, Marth is cool too...he's faster than Roy
I don't like Captain Falcon though...lol ^_^

Hint: Roy's strength is in the middle of his blade, whilst Marth's is at the tip.
If you use him right, he can be fast... Very fast...

Young Link is awesome to bug the heck out of my cousin with his spin attack xDDD. I just get near to him and make the attack 3+ times. My cousin always gets caught in the spin xDDD LOL
Kirby is fun for bugging too ^^. And he's great to take advantage of the lame mistakes that my other cousins do in that game. I just have to use his stone attack and they get KOed instantly xDD
I like using Sheik too ^^, but just Sheik, Zelda is too light and weak AND HECK SHE'S SO SLOW >.< But Sheik is one of the fastest in a way that you can actually control her ^^.
And I'd say the character I hate the most is Samus xO. My cousin (the one of the Young Link thing) is THE master of Samus (same as I'm THE master of Roy...at least against him x.x; ) and he uses her attacks to bug me like when I bug him with Young Link ¬.¬

1. Grab and throw the other way, and then taunt (shrugging), making DK look stupid by not knowing where he just tossed the person he tossed.
2. Grab the person and slap him. Many times. Until he gets to 999% and then Ultra-Punch him/her.
3. Grab, press forwards once to carry the person on DK's back, and then jump down a ciff. Right at the last moment, throw the person and then uppercut to safety.
4. Same as above but don't throw the person at the last moment.

omg xDD LOL
I HATE It when my cousin does that. He just grabs my character and throws himself off the cliff xDD It's very funny even though he's making me loose :P
And DKs taunt ish really good for that xD. All innocent and stuff, yeah right xD

True, True...
Samus is the only character that has a good variety of long ranged attacts and sometimes that can be annoying....
I just run up to him with Roy, grab him, throw him, and slash as she falls...just keep juggling him...
Its funny... :P

He's good in home run contest though...
I dont use Falco ethier becuase he's slower and I tend to have very bad luck with him...
I like to play with Luigi even though he is sometimes a weirdo...
Luigi has good moves like Mario...
I hate Captain Falcon...Looks weird, has weird voice, and has really cheap moves...
My friend always use Falcon Kick and then when I'm about 100% hurt he uses Captain Punch to knock me out instantly...geez no variety at all... :P
Lv. 9 captain falcons are soo cheap...That's the only thing I can't beat as fast...

Yeah, I like Roy, he's unstoppable. My friends use Samus and Fox. My friend who uses Samus keeps firing missles, but I'd just counter it or dogde it somehow, in a Roy VS Samus Roy wins easily (if you're good with him). My friend who uses Fox is just as good as I am, our fights are usually very close.

Yeah, when I first saw fountain of dreams I wanted to play there so badly, but now I hate it because all the flashy stuff distracts me, and it's a little squishy. Hyrule Temple isn't too flashy and it's huge!

I'll try that! what I like to do is taking Donkey Kong and "grabing" lil pichu! or pikachu OR any character when they are at their last life!
Then jumping off the stage and stay alive before they die.. (by trowing them backwards then pressing up..)
#41

I just have to go to the lowest part of the screen where there is a mini thing floating under the huge bulk of mountain that is Hyrule Temple, that way, the screen streteches as best as it can and my cousins are not able to see each other. They always go like: WTF IS HAPPENING HERE?!?!? >.<

Key words : what if...how are you gonna do it then?
Now I know that It must be difficult for you to understand such a tough sentence but let me explain... The words what if are used when you are supposing something. The present progressive tense is used when you are talking about an action in the future. So what I was saying (when you understand the significance of the words) was that IF a donkey kong is invisible what are the chances/what is the way, you can counter it.
Then again.. maybe I'm expecting too much out of you...
Then again I could be mistaken and I could not understand the significance of your words. If it is so I am sorry for my mistakes.
And no I do not play with items, without items is better but items do play a role similar to the caracteristics of the satages. (lasers, water, etc.)
#50
Posted 20 April 2004 - 03:26 PM
Anyway, what I meant was that like you, not many people would use items, for those reasons. But IF a player using DK just HAPPENED to use the item, you could still see them move slightly, they flicker, sort of.

mr. Game and Watch is a great character to use but it relies on luck for one of his moves...its very funny when you jump or attack with him...Beez...or...beep...or...bloop...lol
Personally Roy is the best...Attack...Skill...Startegy...All comes together...if you're good...
All the characters are great and are easy to control but Roy is the coolest dude and has the coolest blade...I even sketched it out!
I never ever use items either...I think they are just cheap...especially pokeballs...
One time I was kicking my friend's ass so badly and then a pokeball appeared and he threw it...It missed by an inch but snorelax came out and killed me...
You see...Items show no skill at all...
#59
Posted 20 April 2004 - 08:54 PM
I really like Roy too But sometimes I get the feeling he's too slow...
My fav caracter is Fox cause I find Falco too much of a wanabe and because his gun isn't cool. After Fox there is Roy cause..well..mainly the same reasons you've already posted :D
#60
Posted 20 April 2004 - 10:03 PM
Go to training and pick to play against 3CPUs and put them to attack. Start putting a LOAD of pokeballs on the field and DON'T STOP! xDDD
It'll be a pretty nice and colorful mayhem xD.

Using items is cheap so I alsways turn it off...
As for using items...I love using pokeballs and laser swords....
Laser Sword is cheap when you just want to have fun and pokeballs are good becuase I like seeing what comes out... :P

I can't believe I have yet to post here (doh!).
I always use the sword-weilding heroes; (Young) Link, Marth, and defintely Roy. Fast, awesome techniques, and they are honorable... But I am decent with Zelda/Shrek (I mean Sheik  ) and Star Fox and Captain Falcon.
Edit: Captain Falcon? That's my brother  No, I meant Falco.
In reality, no character is bad. Each one just has they're own characterisitics and capapbilities.

2. He says japanese stuff.
You know I have an anger system on SSBM? Maybe it comes from being spoiled but...
Whenever someone beats be, I get mad, so I demand to rematch the person again, and when he wins again, I get more mad, but if he plays easy so I can win, it makes me more mad because he's not playing serious, so I demand to rematch him, and if he either plays easy so I could win or beat me again, I get even more mad. ^_^

My brother is quite annoying in SBBM. Especially with Falco. Whether he deflects my attacks right back at yours truly, does that cool special move where he moves quickly and creates after-images, he is ruthless with Falco.
Ah yes… I remember one time, when I underestimated my brother… I was charging up Roy’s special attack (the B Button) at Full Strength (it was Sudden Death). I thought I had one, when my brother DODGES it, and the attack is very powerful… and I lost. VERY annoying.

1. The trophies never lie.
2. Personal experience.
My character is Roy, my brother's is Marth, and sometimes I compare them, Marth is so much faster.
#83

Ah well, no denying that Marth looks cooler (Blue hair all the way!)
Ganandorof (spelling?) and C.F. are very much alike in terms of moves. It's uncanny and weird. *sighs* no wonder my brother is good with Ganandorof...

Final Destination
Battlefield
Great Bay
Mute City
Pokemon Stadium
Corneria
Flat Zone
By the way Golden Legacy, Brinstar Depths has Kraid and not rising lava, just Brinstar has the lava.
Also out of curiosity what are people's least favourite stages. My worst three are;
Icicle Mountain
Fourside
Yoshi's Island N64

All right, let me explain it a bit better. . .
You see, SSBM came out as soon as GC came out in Japan, and for it, because of requests, they decided to add 2 characters from the popular game series "Fire Emblem". But then, they took out whatever character they had before (probably Siglud (Siggy) FE4 was really popular still, and added Roy, for the purpose of advertising the new FE game coming out next March. So poor, poor Roy was only a shameless advertisement *sighs*.

Ah, good times with great oldies. XD
EDIT: Having someone on my kill list is tough, but I'd have to say Ice Climbers, since it's hard to maneuver two characters at once ... and plus, some of their strongest attacks have to have them close together, yet it's impossible (with all the flailing around and smack-downs).
Oh, and, I have a certain "kill" for the Ice Climber's stage. It's so annoying, that even the Hand brothers (Master Hand and Crazy Hand) on Event Match 51 can't compete! It's like Sudden Death or something (not that I'm bad with Sudden Death mode)!

Hmm...I find it the easiest to K.O oppenents there...
Here's a hint...Stay on the top left or right corner's on the stage...And K.O oppenents there...The edge is so far off so its easy to K.O even the lowest level oppenents...
I used to like Yoshi in the old SSB for N64...But now I rarely ever use him...I don't know why...

And I always self-destruct with Yoshi (I keep forgetting he doesn't have a third jump with the B Button... )...
Edit: Just read MW's Post. That is quite a difficult place to fight in too. I should know

Hehe...I hate the lower level of Hyrule Temple...Annoying...Hard to K.O an opponent there becuase they always bounce on the walls and top and they can easily recover on the right side and left side...
I don't like Hyrule Temple when you are playing with alot of people becuase then the screen zooms out and its hard to see yourself...
But its an awsome 1-on-1 place...With the honorable Zelda/FE music and its eppical battlefied-like area...Its the perfect place for Marth and Roy to fight to the death...Mwahahahahaha...Mwahahahahaha...Mwahahahahaha...Mwahahahahaha
Ok...I should stop...

There's nothing wrong with that...I like the song, too. Yes, the beginning is soothing, but the rest is kinda...loud...
I dunno'...
The Fountain of Dreams stage is great for one-on-one battles, 'cause it's so small.

:(
I just noticed now... then again, I dislike both of them...

about SSBM, theres some levels that are a waste, like the old Kirby lev.
the old Yoshi Lev and the old DK lev.
Roy and Marth needed a level, and the other Pokemon lev is annoying and dumb.
There couldve been lots of other levels.
But thats about the only thing thats a pain.

Ahh yes...When I mean ETC. I also mean DK (DK is part of Mario ya know  Geez I'm such an oldie  ) and Peach...I wrote ETC becuase there wasn't any room to write it in...
Final Destination is good becuase there are no destractions...
As for the PokeFloats level...Its pretty good I guess...Better than other moving levels...And the song is nice too...

1. How do you complete Event Match 51 successfully? I know there's no easy way, but, since I'm good with either Mr. Game & Watch, Pichu, and/or Captain Falcon, how am I supposed to defeat both the Hands?
2. Tell me how I can unlock the Kirby's Dreamland stage (and possibly the old DK stage), please?
3. How can I finish off Dr. Mario, Mario, and Jigglypuff target tests?
Thank you.

Donkey Kong 64- Beat 15 Minute Melee once (if you're looking for an easy way to beat this, simply use Donkey Kong and use the B + Down combo [where he, err, "smacks" the ground with both hands alternatively])
Edit: For the Jigglypuff Target Test... well, I will assume you can get the first six with no problem- for the last four, you have to float in the air and use the "B + Side (in this case, the left)" Special Move, which happens to be a simple Punch- once you get one, immediately float to above the wooden path with the logs, go around, and repeat. You have to try and not waste puffs of air (as you are limited)... or something (sorry that it's confusing)...
Oh, and a different maneuver is to simply hit one, then float and continue. This requires precise timing however...

Yes...I checked...That seems just about right...Thanks for posting before me GL...Me kind of lazy these days...
For all the Target Tests: some of the targets you cannot get to, require their B(+ a direction) attack...So test out all of them...

The Home Run contest... I have around 1680 Meters or so with Roy. However, recently, I got around 1350+ with Ganandorf...

#1 This method i used, is very tedious but effective. First go Jigglypuff, you must sucessfully injure Giga Bowser and then instantly kill him with Down B Rest three times. You can afford to lose one life doing this. As for the other two, use Jigglypuff's superior jumping ability to folat over them, float from side to side of the arena (above Mewtwo and Ganondorf) when you collect any item there, whilst floating across throw it down at them, when their damage is high let bob-omb finish off or a superscope shot. If it's event 50 you're stuck on i did this: Ganondorf up+A smash constantly. I suppose you could do the same with Falcon and his ridicolous speed will help you dodge their attacks easier. Kill the MASTER hand first (the one on the right) then go for the Crazy hand.
#2 Kirby's Dreamland= Complete break the targets with all characters (i think)
DK Jungle= Survive the 15 minute melee (Kong Down+B works fine)
#3 I can't remember Dr. Mario's but Mario needs a very long double jump followed by an Up+B Jigglypuff needs a long six jumps and to be high enogh yo hit the target.
