You should go back and beat it. The ending is a jaw-dropper. (Don't worry, I won't tell)

I like the gameplay too. I haven't played it for months but how I write here about that game I have the urge t orun to my Gamecube and play the game again!

Mysterious Adept, Wind Waker does rock -_- I’ll even go so far as saying it’s one of the best games ever made, and while that is just opinion, it simply pwns :P

The graphics are amazing (you come to love the cel-shaded look, and get drawn in easily), awesome gameplay, albeit slightly simple. The overworld is vast and sailing always proves interesting for me, although it does get admittedly boring (thank God you can warp eventually…)…

And to this day, I still feel like crying whenever I play the Earth God’s Lyric…

                    Also…

THE FINAL BOSS IS TOTALLY ASTOUNDING!!!

                    =D

Playing the second quest is also great, as not only are Link and Aryll in different clothing (I so want Link’s pajamas XD) , you get some nice extras, including actually getting to know the dialogue given by those who spoke the Ancient Hyrulian tongue!

I have roughly eighty+ figures, 113 in all, although you do need a GBA to get one.
Overall, Wind Waker is an incredible game…

The ending blew my mind. It was just. so. perfect.

I need to go back and replay it. I collected a whole lot of trophies, too (but probably no where near as much as GL.)

The cell-shaded graphics turned me off from this game, no offense to lovers of the Wind Waker. The new zelda will PWN!

                                * sigh * I understand you don’t mean to disrespect Wind Waker, but if you are saying so on account of the graphics alone… it’s really…

Okay, I understand that the Cel-Shaded graphics may “put people off” of the game. But in all honesty, those graphics actually portray a sense of realism. Before you think that I’ve gone crazy, just consider the amount of detail that has gone to it.

I can’t really describe it, so forgive me, but let me assure you that those graphics are surprisingly difficult to pull off.

im aware of that...im taking a computing graphics course as an elective at university. And i really liked the windwakers graphics and i know why they did it. I just happen to think that the new one should be even better as it is the natural progression

Ahh, forgive me. I wasn’t aiming that at anybody in particular, just to get the general idea across.

The reason why the Cel-Shaded look was chosen for Wind Waker, as I’m sure you know, was simply to match the story. What better way to portray a game centered around a young Link (who looks very good in pajamas XD)?

And just think about it- could you imagine the King of Red Lions with realistic graphics? The whole sea based theme really was perfectly represented with the cel-shaded approach.

But yeah, new Legend of Zelda is simply going to rock ;)

i have to agree that the king of red lions simply would not have worked in realism and i absolutely adored the seas graphics. It was visually stunning and i have no problem admitting that. A lot of people complained that the sea was a nuisance cos it took so long to get anywhere but i always loved sailing in it. The amount of freedom of landscape is formidable

i just bought it and it's the best one I have
but I'm in the pirate ship for the second time and that's really frustrating :o
when you have to jump from one lantern to another how do you do that?

see the attachment for an image of the ship with the locations of the boxes and the lanterns

ok um - you know that you can hold down the R button to stop the swinging right? Once you've done that, it'll mean that you can change the direction you're facing. Then you start swinging again after aiming for the next lanturn or crate. With that in mind - if thats not the answer then im sure more attempts will mean you'll prevail in the end. If you take it nice and slow then you'll get it - you actually have quite a bit of time...

I apologize for making you guys uncomfortable, but as far as I can remember, there was already a topic on this. I'll close it temporarily, until I can find the correct topic. But, if you see the auto-response that says this was a duplicate, then you've wasted time and effort.

EDIT: Meh, go figure. I believed that there was a topic on this game created a long while ago, but I guess it was just MA's "friend's" topic. I apologize. You may continue.

                                                  * major bump* I just need help in a dungeon. The wind temple. I'm where Makar is behind a wall, and I'm in a large circular room.

I can't believe anyone can have trouble finishing this game. It's one of the easiest games I've ever played!

Oh, sorry about that. A little more detail please Toasty, for instance did you get the item in the dungeon and what else is there in the room?

Well, this is actually the first LoZ game I've played. The room is circular with a metal floor, and makar, the 'new' wind temple sage, is trapped behind a metal grating. There is an opening to the grating, but it's blocked off by a heavy rock that looks like someones face. But it's not the kind of heavy rock that you can lift, that one's gray colored. This one's red. Makar says something like "this stone looks so heavy, you'd have to be as heavy as the great tree to move it". Also in the room, there are circular shaped targets, and wondering if what I need to do is get the hookshot and climb to the top of the statue with it, then put on my iron boots, and mabey it slides into the ground. There's a door you can go through at the oposite end of the room from where you enter, and I'm thinking I might have to go through there to get the hookshot. Oh, and one reason why this game is hard for me is because the floor masters. Only 1 out of 10 times I'm quick enough to stun them, or shoot them with an arrow, before they grab me.

Oh, I didn't know it's the first Zelda you've played. You should play some more you know! It's the best game series the world has seen!

Try putting on the Iron Boots and pulling the red head with Link's hands, though that probably won't work. If it doesn't then you do need the Hookshot. I really can't remember where it is. I know you get it after the mini-boss battle and I THINK the mini-boss is at the bottom of the main room, the one with many floors and the huge hole in the middle which helps you get from floor to floor. Hope that helped.

Pokemon just look so much better when drawn and, like, 2-D then in 3-D. Maybe even Fire Emblem should be fully cel-shaded to make the whole game look like the rare animated scenes in Path of Radiance. Any thoughts?

Don't get me wrong, I do like it, but, well, it doesn't grab my attention like the other games do. Usually when I get a new Zelda game, you'd have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands to stop me playing before I beat it. But with Wind Waker... I couldn't get into it. I have to be in the right mood to play that game. And I haven't played it in ages, since my memory card buggered up and said "The memory card in Slot A is corrupt and needs to be formatted."

It's done that five times now. After that, you really can't be arsed. >.< x3

They did want to have two more temples, the Fire and Ice Temples, but they needed to rush the game. The two unincluded temples turned into Fire Mountain and Icering Isle. But they will be in TP.

This was the first LoZ game I've played, so if there were more temples, I probably wouldn't have even thought of finishing the game. But when I was leafing through the strategy guide I got with it, It did seem pretty short compared to other RPG's I've played.

Yeah, TWW has 5 dungeons, of which two are temples, but OOT has 8 dungeons, of which five are temples. There are also two mini dungeons, which are about half the size of a normal dungeon, but still have a map and compass like any other dungeon/temple.
