didn't you listen when the little djinni was talking to you? no? well, I can't say I blame you, but....yeah.....
classes change with different djinn combos. I'm surprised you didn't know that.... anyway, check out the class guides on the main site to find out about the different classes. (GSS has a great class guide by the way)

You also change it by equiping the Mysterious Card, the Trainer's Whip, and some other thing. (I can't remember what it's called.)

The tomegathiron, which is technically the best of the three, as it can give you the Necromage class. Awesome!

I didn't think you're stupid, I just thought you where uninformed. anyway, the only class-changing items are
Mysterious Card: Kandorean Temple Cave, Perroit class
Trainers Whip: Yampi Desert, Trainer class
Tomegetheron (sp?): Kibombo Catacombs, Dark Mage class
and, of course, they produce different classes when combined with djinn. No other items change classes
