I suggest doing a cleanout of everything over 2 weeks old.
Please?
(btw, is there anyway to tell the total amount of posts in the spam forum since its beginning, I'm interested to know what percentage of this forums post are spam)
Thanks!

I have no clue what you said. Even so, pruning the Spam/Testing forum is better for the forums. Keeping active topics instead of ones that haven't been posted within at least a month means more efficient browsing of the forum.

he has a point gimli - there are so many irrelevant and dead topics around. It coul do with being cut down. Even if that means TRTIII dies..

It's all complete garbrage, and the sooner people realise that the better.

The spam forum now is just like another MSN, totally random and irrelevent at times. It's leaving no room for proper discussion anymore which is the point of a forum.
Consider this as a big thing for me to say because I used to love the spam forum, but now, I'm not so sure

At last someone shares my view on the bloody spam forum.
I mean looks, 33000 posts in there, and about a third of that number in off topic where the discussion is supposed to happen. And if the spam forum hadn't been cleaned out, it would be double what it is now.
Is this a discussion forum? Or a big IM conversation (full of crap)?

I know that's the place where most people made friends, even I did ^^.
And I don't want to ruin anyone else's fun but it's gone to the extreme of defeating the purpose of a forum and, dare I say it, even off putting for those amongst us who do want to discuss/debate.
I'm stressing this only if things go really out of hand.

That's the best we can hope for. Not removing it, but just making guidlines and strictly enforcing them.
I would love to see it completely removed though. But Max is too stubborn, so it's not going to happen anytime soon.

I think it's good for a bit of random stupidity every now and then, but that's all it is.
Actually, my biggest complaint is that people are neglecting the real forum, and spending all their time posting garbage that even they don't care about.

*praises neon*
Compare the number of posts in the spam forum (double actually what it is now), to the rest of the forum. It takes up about half of the total posts. Utterly pathetic!

This of course, can be done, with a prune. :P

^_^ Now that was just uncalled for. How dare you mock me! ^_^
Agatio, just because you don't like the spam forum, doesn't mean you should call the admin (Max) Stubborn just because he won't do auto-prune, or mock/insult people who like it.
Plus, I do agree that Max was right on that last post.

And I wasn't meant to mock you, I apologise if I did, I was just pointing out that spamful posts really aren't that important, and the would won't be any worse off if they are deleted.
