Well, can someone insert a modification so users can tell their genders in their profile?

I can create a field that will show the gender within the profile, no problem.

But it seems, majority wants the gender indicator on your left side information which means I'll have ot go find the mod and get Max to install it.

Can't you just add it manually? Can't be that hard. I doubt it would need more than one extra line of coding to make it appear in the message lists.

It takes about (literally) 1 minute to add a gender field for your profile and next to all your posts. I've done it on my own forums, dead easy, no downloading or installing.

Well, I though Kiku was a boy for about 3 months so, it's always that easy.

80% of people thought Kiku was male, I wonder why. :agitated:

I think a Gender MOD will be cool, I'd like to modify my current gender please! :agitated:

^Never more from the peanut gallery.

I don't see the need. It's just an extra mod. that we don't need right now. We're supposed to be focusing on GSW, and, really, all you need to do is PM the person and ask nicely what their gender is. If you forget, you can write it on a sticky note and put it on your forehead. :P

well, Silo's right, but a mod for it (IMO) isn't nessisary. Even a beginner to PHP and MySQL could code that.

well...we have the option in out profiles now anyways. I dont think anything more then that is needed.

People take it oddly when you PM them saying "Hi! Are you a boy or a girl?". :P

It would literally take a minute, I mean, it's just a small matter of adding another field to our profile, and making it show up next to out posts. Honestly, why not?

That's what I'm saying. I think it's stupid that IPB has all these mods that do tiny little things, and when put it up for downloading, people flock to it. The spellcheck I can understand, but getting a mod to display gender in posts is just silly. I guess its for people who don't know PHP. (If they don't they shouldn't even be running a forum IMO)
