Here is where I will put my FE sprite tutorials, as it seems a lot of people have been wondering/asking about them. The first tutorial can be of the first poster's choice. =D.

Not that I would do this, but how do you make custom sprites? Do you just piece together other pieces of various sprites. I've been curious about this for a while now.

How do you make sprites of your own made up characters?

Basically. Sometimes, you'll have to pencil something in on your own (like the diabolo in my last animation).

Well, be specific. There are two kinds - battle sprites and mugshots. Which kind are you talking about.

Don't forget the world map sprite, BLL!

You've got to make one for the Street Acrobat < Performer < Virtuoso Diabolo class, by the way.

I can half try and help you make the tutorial, BLL.

I have been curious about the battle sprites, not mugshots, how do you do it, what do you use to make them, If your doing them from scratch? Like do you use photoshop, or what?

First off, none of my sprites are from scratch. To much time, and I can't think in pixel x.x;;;. Here's a simple example of what you can do to make a sprite. This is giving Lyn a larger bow.

I use Microsoft Paint for all my still sprites, sprite sheets, mugshots, and overworld sprites. For animations, I use GIF Movie Gear.

No, it's not. You have to register it, but it's worth it. A good program, it is.

Ah, yeah...I just checked the site...

Anyways, do you have something on lighting effects? As in the darker colours and the lighter colours and where to use them.

I just color according to the shades on the sprite. If something is dark, then I usually use a darker color.

The "Rotate" option. Select an object, and press Ctrl+R.

                                        For Zxor's Question =

You use the "Free Select" option in Paint, to specifically select the bow.

Somia = You edit mugs similarly to the way you edit stills, actually. Anything. . . more specific?

                                            Pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaassssssse can I help, BLL?

Zxor, here, I took a screen shot of paint to show you.

For the free select, you click and hold down, and move the cursor around the object, it doesn't have to be perfectly around, give it a little room around the outside, as you can go over the excess color of something in white pencil.
