I found this VERY handy MOD that I could use for my IPB2 board which makes a minimum post requirement and stops any posts that are lower than a certain number. ALSO includes group-by-group minimum post lengths, quote options, and BBCode options, in case you want to count those as characters.

I have used it with IPB 2.0.3, so it should definitely work here. Max, I recommend that you install this ASAP!

I'm sure several others will agree with me about this MOD. It'll stop any short, stupid spam from being posted in the future. Although, I do not know if this has any way to be disabled for certain forums (the main forum concerned being Spam), but it's not like we give a )*#$ about those insolents, now do we? :(

I hope you will consider this Max despite that one little problem. And even then, it might get an update to such an option in the future. Over n' out.

      Damn right I agree =) .
It sounds very good. It won't stop spammy posts entirely, but it will at least block those annoying 2 or 3 word posts.
      Good find Andross.
