    Help my avvie won't change. I click Upload, it says its uploaded and then its not different.

      Yeah this happened to me too - i think it solves it if you host it at an internet image hosting place, then just link to the URL.

      Don't take it from your computer.

          It's actually the cookies. Give it about 5 minutes and it usually changes.

              When you upload an avatar, you are replacing your "av-58.gif" or whatever file. And when you do that, your computer has to download that new file and delete the old one, and then the browser has to open that. Whereas if you hotlink, you are just entering in a whole new URL, which means it changes pretty much instantly. Complicated yes, but to simplify, it's teh cookies =) .

                This usually happens because of the way IPB does what is called "caching," so don't worry about it. In a few minutes of the upload it should be properly updated.
