In addition to the gender field, how about adding an age field? It's also very, very simple, and having age, gender and location next to all your posts would save a lot of silly questions. Thanks.

i'm actullay for this, becuase i went thoguh alot of peoples profiles yesterday to check out each others ages, to see what type of people i'm actually posting to. Becuase well the people on here are much smarter and stuff then the kids at my school and some of my friends. Yea i think its a good idea.

Age is hard to tell here. I've seen 13 year olds here who are twice as mature as some older members. That's why I think this is needed, so we all have a clear picture of the age of the member we are addressing.

It can be worked out from the DOB in the profiles, although i agree that it would make life easier to have it on the post info. It might even encourage people to act their age more if they're being outdone by people who are visibly younger. But at the same time, people can just go and look it up anyway.

It saves time just having it next to the post. I don't want to have to keep looking at profiles to know how old people are. It's purely for convenience.

Well, I say yes, because it can show why certain members know/don't know certain things. Like not all people at forums know what exams are because they aren't old enough to be in middle school. So I'm definately all for this.

Who doesn't know what an exam is Gimli...? Anyways, if it can be accomplished easily, then yeah its probably a good idea. But if it would take an amount of effort and time then i think we can live without it - Not all people would fill it in anyways.

It's a matter of filling in a few fields in the Admin CP, then allowing it to be displayed next to posts. About 5 mintues, tops.
