I don't mind the spam forum, I go there occasionally mainly when that ^<v game was on but this is ridicules. Can we keep the spam forum still silly but a bit more mature guys this is the only forum I go on that the main focus for most peoples posting is spam.

Well, I guess we CAN keep the weird threads. Remember the advanced prune settings for it Max set up, and the April Fools things will die quickly, maybe they already did. But,
And spam USED to be my main focus, but now its a little boring....Anyway, if you dont mind the spam forum, why are you complaining about it?

Because its ridicules that it is the main focus for gssf. Nearly every time I go there there are topics half way down the second page with last post 'today'.

Actually, its not quite the main focus. Though, it is very active. Of its not just me, the main ficus is more like GSW and Computers right now, and Spam isn't quite the main focus. I know about the 'Last post was today' thingy, but...meh, I dont count the non-post increasing area as the main focus, even if theres alot of posts. And if its not just me, the Spam forum is actually slowly becoming a lil less inactive.

I think that either:
-The Spam forum should be taken off altogether
-It should have at least SOME rules
-Moderated more closely (kinda like that last one I mentioned)

It really is pretty annoying to see so much spamming.

It's just one rule saying he will delete all extra long posts.
It doesn't say anything about pointless stuff like 1 or 2 word posts that are totaly irrelevant.

look at the link in my sig, the so called Auxiliary forums, if you want to spam, you can go there all you want and destroy the place, you only need to register, because spamming at a place where you normallyare supposed to be serious, isn't fun, so I say delete it and let them go there, you even recieve a post count there for doing so.

The spam forum used to be cool, I used it to advertise and just randomy talk, not the crap that's there now. Delete the crap and let the old way seep in. The noob-like stuff is so annoying.

The above is the current spam forum stats. I pruned and reduced the posts by half. Tada, spam removed. And the Spam forum moves so quickly, it will always be full of topics.

Despite this topic being a few hours of a month old I am thrilled to see other members have noticed the spam epidemic. What exactly is going to happen though? I would like the forum reset and the total posts of spam subtracted from the total posts of gssf and start the spam forum afresh. If I had to pin the spam forum decline I would blame it on the 'newer' members, they need to have not rules but what I would call guidelines.

I don't even want to go there anymore, I'll use the spam forums of forumplanet to spam, no here it usually isn't funny or nothin'. So I don't go there, it isn't even useful. at least not for me.

From now on I'll be personally enforcing a 7ish day prune for all topics in spam forum. Any topic not posted in for 7 full days will be deleted.
