When I enter my incoming and outgoing server, I have no clue what it is. I currently don't really own a website of any kind, and I don't really understand the POP part of the account set-up. Can anyone help me here?

What is this email account?
If it's a gmail account, your POP and SMTP server are:
POP: 'pop.gmail.com' Port: 995
SMTP: 'smtp.gmail.com' Port: default
Check "Use Name and Password"
Check "Use Secure Connection (SSL)" - Pop
Check "Use Secure Connection (TLS)" - STMP
If you aren't using a gmail account, (Hotmail, Yahoo, etc) should all provide some sort of pop downloading.

What email host do you use? With hosts such as hotmail, it is impossible to use Thunderbird because it is webmail-only.
In most cases though,
Incoming server: pop.[site name.domain] (eg: pop.gmail.com)
Outgoing server: smtp.[site name.domain] (eg: smtp.gmail.com)

Well, for some sites, its a little different than what Nobody said. I remember when I used cox e-mail, it depended on the part of the U.S. you lived in, and since I live in Louisiana, which is in the Southeast, the servers were:
POP3: pop.east.cox.net
SMTP: smtp.east.cox.net
If I remember correctly, I set up the POP account via the email options. Check your e-mail options on Webmail and see if there is something to do with POP.

I got it to work, I believe. Thanks for your help.
EDIT: If anyone wants to e-mail me from now on, it's going through [email protected]. Again, thank you.
