Although this isn't much of a suggestion, it has come to my attention that there've been a few people here and there that have been giving themselves joke ages and genders. Things like Age 99 or their gender was Female, but in reality they're a guy. That was cool when Agatio did it sometime ago, but other people started doing it for fun until the idea crapped itself to death.

Referring to the newer members that should come here, it would be a shame if they really thought that you were an old lady of a few decades that plays a not-so-popular-anymore RPG on the GameBoy Advance, and then get scarred for life that way. That would seriously ruin the fun of it, would it not?

In any case, if the GSSF staff agrees with me, then it should be enforced as a minor rule, since we should all be accurate, no?

You didn't have the gender/age profile fields before. You had to look within the profile. And yes, it's a shame that people are using the age field properly, but I can't enforce that you do.

Perhaps I can make things slightly better though...

EDIT: The age field is now a drop-down box. You can select from ages 8-30. If you are outside that age range, please PM me.

Yeah, it got a bit annoying. Agatio was ok, it was a fun joke, but it shouldn't spread. I doubt people here would be over 30 now, though.

*fwew* I thought this topic was a goner when I saw you post in it, so I didn't look at it ...

Anyway, nice job, Nick. Thank you for all you've done.

Yes, thank you. But people can still fool around with it (but not as much); one reason I'd have wanted the age field based on the birthdate.

But it still goes back to problem number 1; you can change your birthday to anything you want.

                you're right; I wasn't thinking when I said that...
Is there a way to reduce the range of years selectable in the birthday field?

Not an easy way that I know of.

If anyone can come up with a permanent solution, PM me and I'll do it.
